Paperartsy Transparent Challenge

Hi ya, just quickly popping on to show you a card I did for the Paperartsy Challenge which is Transparent and finishes in 40mins.  I decided to play with my gelli plate and gel medium to make a painted skin which is transparent in places.  It's my first time doing it on the Gelli Plate but it was so much fun.  I have also done a step by step showing the layers I did.  All of the products I used are as always at the bottom of the post :-)
Sorry I had a delay in pictures as my computer when a bit wonky.  All done now lol.
I would also like to enter the following challenge -
Simon Says Monday Challenge - Stencil it

I love the colours, they are my favourite PA paints.  I have back ups all
the time lol.

Step by Step

First I used the Tangerine Twist and the stencil on my gelli plate and let dry.

Next was Carribean through the next stencil and again let dry.

Another one using the pink and let dry.

Next I used some more of the yellow on the blue but using PS001 stencil not the one shown.  Then I added some circles using the top and black.

I stamped with the pink paint and then added some marker dots.

Next acrylic ink splattered.

When everything is dry I added the medium thickly and left over night.

This is how it look the next morning.

As you can see if you don't add the gelli plate full of paint you get areas of transparency.

I stamped the sentiment and added the colours using bubble wrap.

Wow that took over an hour to do, I can't believe it took so long.  Ended up restarting my computer lol.  Anyway it's done, hope your enjoyed it.  Thank you so much for being patience and taking the time to visit.

Happy Art :-)
Hugs Kezzy xxxxx

Absorb My Energy

Good evening, how are you?  I am sitting in my craft room painting, and I thought I shall type up this post in between drying time.  Actually the area I was just in the middle of doing I was adding the last touch of some Treasure Gold and made a mistake so I'm also waiting for the Winsor & Newton Sansodor (solvent) to dry, it did really well taking off the TG thank goodness.  I hope your all have a fab evening in your arty area :-).  This large journal page (12"by9" loose watercolour paper) is of the sun and how she represents her energy.  If I ever feel low or when life gets stressful I stand outside and close my eyes and look up to the sun, allowing the energy to absorb through me.  It really does help, so when I started LifeBook last year I used this lesson to make my sun angel.  I am also taking this course this year and I would definitely go and have a look, the amount I have learned this year is amazing and I really feel like I have grown as an artist.  As always the products I used are at the bottom of the page :-)

Hi ya, wow 2016 how did it get here so quick?  Today I am bringing you the last of the Christmas cards that I made.  I also have a few step by steps for the vintage background.  The funky cards were done with the masterboard I made HERE which includes a step by step as well.  All the products I used will be listed at the bottom of the page :-).

These are the vintage cards (close ups and step by step of background

it's been put away for next year :-)

The leaves are from the Alterations thinlits Fall Foilage,
the red card had green leaves with red splashes of Perfect Pearl Mists and Faber
Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel, the brown card started with brown leaves and
the blue was with white glitter card leaves.
The wood is from Calico Crafts.
The background is a mix of texture paste, stamps, distress stains, inks, sprays
and Perfect Pearls mists.  Decoart crackle paste just slapped in the middle.

Here are the more funky cards all used with Paperartsy paints and stamps.
