Mojo Monthly - Flowers and Sunday Stamper works

Hi all, wow no post for days due to busy accounts then now there done 2 posts in one day lol.  I'm just in time for the Mojo Monthly, I just love what Sarah does and this month the designer interview is with Lin Brown and how exciting is it that I will actually meet Lin as I'm off to Arstycrafts in a week.  Also pop on over to mojo monthly as Sarah does some fab flower creations. I also want to enter it to the Sunday Stamper over on Ink on My Fingers, the challenge being Words, I have wanted to enter for awhile but not had anything inky enough lol.  I have wanted to do this altered book that I had seen in Craft Stamper early last year which was an altered book, I knew my PA at work would love it for her birthday which was the other day, last year I didn't do it as I didn't feel confident enough but this year I decided to have a go with some success :-).  I really love the tissue around the book which I coloured and stamped piles of random text stamps over it, I love the stamped flower, the handmade flower and the rips, but I'm disappointed with how flat the middle is, I really wanted to decoupage it but this stamps however way I tried it, just didn't look good decoupaged.

Close up of the stamped flower I wanted to decoupaged.

Lots of word stamps

The flower I learned from Hels as she was on Create and Craft over a week ago I actually tape it so I could make the flower as she was, but if you pop on her website she has a tutorial on there just check the sidebar.

Right I better be off, hopefully might have something for Friday after I have done my ATC's.  Thanks for visiting :-) Kezzy xxx

WOYWW 156

Hi all, it's Wednesday which means it's that time when all us crafters get together to share our desks, it's the 3rd anniversary of woyww and thanks to Julia for hosting this amazing idea, where ever she is even if she was on Mars she find's the time and the resources to give us the ability to share our addiction.  As it's the 3rd Birthday we are doing an ATC swap, I'm definitely in but I have to finish mine tonight and tomorrow so shall be sent tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning, I'm really sorry to my swap partner for this but as you all know the accounts have had me working horrible hours, BUT there done, there gone and apart from a couple of hours work tomorrow I have now got time off Yippey, I really want to apologise as I didn't manage to visit anyone last week because I seriously was working 24/7, having time off means I get to visit this week, I really do hate not getting to visit :-(.  I will have a couple of ATC's as I am also swapping with my last years woyww swap partner Wipso aka Annie and maybe if anyone else is swapping extras :-)
My desk is a complete mess, while working I had some DT cards to do over the week and my book to finish but had no time to clear between projects.

As you can see dumping desk is well dumped!!!!

I had to have the book finished this morning,
I'm rather disappointed as I spent
a lot of time trying to decoupage the stamped flower
in the middle, but what ever medium I used
it looked awful so instead I used a hand made
flower.  I shall be putting the book on a post in a bit.

Right I shall be off,  find out who I get to swap with :-), I hope everyone as a fantastic bank holiday weekend, I shall be here next Wednesday just before I go to Arstycrafts, anybody out there going???? so next week I will be really really excited.  A huge thanks for visiting :-) Kezzy xxx

That Craft Place - Trees & Nature and Frilly and Funkie - Stencils and Masks

Good morning, hope your having a gorgeous sunny morning, yep I'm at the computer still working lol, roll on Wednesday.  I have popped on to show my DT card for our new challenge over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog which is Trees & Nature, I also want to enter my card into the current challenge over at Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog which is Stencils and Masks.  At the Craft Place we are being sponsored by Indigo Blu for this challenge, wish I could enter lol!!!  I really got into the Trees and Nature challenge by using leaves as mask for my backing ...............

As you can see with the above pictures it made a gorgeous backing, when I had cut it up for my card I also added some stencilling with some flower sequin waste.

I also took another picture with the light reflecting off it, it really does show the nature side, it's lovely what the sun can do.

I would say the only think I'm not happy about is the sentiment, I reckon it gets lost a bit, but that's how I learn lol.  So why don't you have a go at our Trees & Nature challenge, also the DT will be popping some more inspiration on our That Craft Place Shop Blog, I shall have a altered book going on there in a couple of days :-).  Hope you all have a fantastic crafty week, enjoy your Sunday, I may not be around for the next couple of days due to work work work, but they have to be sent Wednesday so I shall be back to lots of crafting and it's only 11 sleeps until I leave to go to artsycrafts a craft retreat and 3 nights in a hotel plus 3 full days of gorgeous inky, stampy crafting by Paperartsy.  Thanks for visiting :-) Kezzy xxx

2 Sisters Challenge Blog - Bring on the boys and Charisma Cardz Challenges - No Flowers Allowed

Hi all, I'm so sorry that I haven't been around much this week, I am in the middle of accounts that have to be signed off by next Wednesday and sent to Companies House so I'm working day and night, with being poorly with my back I'm really behind, I'm even working at the moment :-(  But after these are done next Wednesday, I will have done so many hours that I shall be able to spend around 10 days only doing 2 hours a day plus time off so yippey.
Right it's Saturday which means it's time for my DT card for the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog challenge which this week is Bring on the boys (no girl images allowed)  and we are being sponsored by The Digi Garden.  I have to admit I quite like this card even though it took me only an hour to do as I needed to carry on with work, it's quite plain but it looks not too bad so I would like to enter it into the challenge over at Charisma Cardz Challenge Blog which is No Flowers Allowed.

Ok looking at it now it probably could have done with a bit more too it but hey ho we learn lol.  I shall be back tomorrow with another DT card so see you then.  Hope you have a fantastic crafty week. thanks for visiting :-)

WOYWW 155

Hi all, it's Wednesday which means that it has to be the day where everyone gets together to show what they are up to and the hostess (who shall be hosting a beautiful tan in a couple of weeks when back from hols) is the amazing Julia.  It's morning, I'm early for once yippey, and I'm planning on being quick (for once) as I really need to get on with some work (dreaded accounts which have to be sent next Wednesday at latest!!!).  I am slowly starting to feel better, I'm not sure having to do so much work on a computer is helping but the pain in my back is alot better then it was Friday.  Crafting in the evenings is the only thing keep me sane or I would be thinking numbers all the time lol, and you can see that at last I'm back to crafting when you see the state of the floor and my desks lol.

My spray box and lots of ripped pages on floor,
well I am supposed to be resting so
instead of getting up to go to bin I just chuck on floor!!!
Ok that is no excuse as I have a green bag next to me lol

Dumping desk, I am actually being good and after each
project I clean it all up, not sure how long
that will last lol.

I'm hoping to finish the altered book I'm working on in the
next few days, it's for a work mates birthday, I still have
flowers etc to paint (H20's) and flowers to make
(just got the accents of art studio 490 stamps), flowers
are this months Mojo monthly and this is the
project I'm wanting to enter,

Ok it's not quite the short post I was hoping for lol, I shall be off, work calls yuk, problem with working from home is sometimes I can get side tracked, but this week I really can't do that, each hour in the day needs to be accounted (get it accounts work accounted for!!!! lol ok that's awful, you can tell I'm still on some decent painkillers lol).  So next week is the big week, I shall be starting my ATC's after this project and I am hoping to make a few, one for my woyww swap and then some more for if anyone else wants to swap.  A big thank you for all the support over the last few weeks while I have been unwell, I have really appreciated every comment. Hope you have a fabby crafty week, thanks for stopping by :-) Hugs Kerry xxx

2 Sisters Challenge Blog showcase Wednesday and Creative Card Crew - Dimension

Hi all, it's Wednesday and time for me to show some more inspiration for our current challenge over at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog which is Stars.  I would like to enter my card into the challenge over at Creative Card Crew challenge blog which is Dimension.  I went with a western theme for my card as the image I decided to use seemed very western like even though it was a dog!!!  I certainly added lots of dimension on this card, I really love adding depth but sometimes if you have to post your card you need it flatter, well this card wasn't actually made for anyone so I could go to town as they say lol.  The background is a faux wooden technique, I used manilla card stock (cheap manilla folders), then I used butterscotch, latte, espresso and snowcap swiping them over the card in that order, next I added the lines and dots then embossed it with Tim Holtz burlop embossing folder.

Right I better go, I want to do my woyww post next before getting on with some work yuk.  Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx
