Creative Expressions - Imagine

Hi ya, how are you all today?  we are having beautiful weather in the UK Midlands at the moment, I have been managing to get all my washing dry :-).  So as you know it's Monday which means it's time for my Creative Expressions Blog creation and this time I have certainly mixed things up, so to speak lol.  We are working with all of Sue Wilson's new stamps and they are amazing.  Last week I used one of the perfume bottles and this week I have used the other in a slightly different way!  Right I shall get on with it lol, as usual I shall highlight products that are sold by Creative Expressions :-)

The minute I saw this perfume bottle I could see a hot air balloon :-)
The next picture shows the actually stamp I used and
the Tim Holtz stamp really goes well with it, don't you thing?
I really loved doing this, I had so much fun :-)

You will see how to make them in the step by step, I have shown
this picture early so you can see the stamp :-)

Lots of close up pictures :-)

And now for the step by step ............

To start with I wanted to make some cloud embellishments so
I used the That Special Touch Stencil with the Cosmic Shimmer Texture Paste Clear.

I try and make them slightly thicker as I want them not to break.  Mind
you I was surprised, one of them was thick, but because the texture
paste is like a soft plastic when it has dried they didn't break or crack at all :-)
I then sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels White Ice over them.

Next I took some cardboard from a box and peeled some top layer
away so you could see the corrugated cardboard.  I then painted with Eco Green Paint white.

I gave it two layers :-)

Next I took some Wendy Vecchi Clearly for Art white,

and painted it with the Eco Green white paint, I did try without but
it didn't work as it's plastic.

When the paint was dry I spritzed it with water and added the following
Cosmic Shimmer Watercolours - yellow sparkle, lava red, golden scarlet,
topaz sparkle and tropic yellow.

I dabbed each colour on and then heated it dry, the plastic does get a bit
soft but I used a low heat setting and the water kept it cool.

I carried on spraying more water, adding more watercolour and drying,
I got a bit carried away and forgot to take more pictures lol

A couple of close up pictures

Next I took some shrink plastic and added Adirondack Alcohol Inks in butterscotch,
watermelon, red pepper, lemonade and peach bellini.  I wish I had only
used the two lighters ones as it's a long time since I have used shrink
plastic and I forgot that the colour darkens, oops :-)

I just kept pouncing to mix the colours.

Next I stamped the Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Single Stamp Murano Glass
on the shrink plastic with staz on and I stamped on the White Art page we
did earlier.

I then outlined the sides with a black alcohol ink pen

Next I heated the white art and shaped the balloons and then shrunk the plastic.
Before I shrunk the plastic I added some holes for the wire.

Now to start on the background, I used the same technique as earlier
but this time with Cosmic Shimmer Watercolours in pastel aqua, harebell,
blue pearl, marine sea and sapphire sparkle.

I kept spraying water, adding the colours, heating and then started
again until I had the background I wanted.

I then used my favourite product for splashes the Cosmic Shimmer
Acrylic Inks in Denim and Blue Blush.  They make such small drops,
I just tap the top or flick, it also gives great depth to a flat piece.  I also
went around the edges with the black pen.

Next I took the stamp from Creative Expressions Texture stamp set and
the new Creative Expressions Sue Wilson stamp Scented Border and
not using an acrylic block I stamped with Archival Aquamarine and Jet black ink pads.

I love the interest it gives to the background :-)

I used two different coloured wires to do the hanging at the top, I twisted
in places to add a bit of drama!!!! lol

I added wire to connect the bits together and used Comsic Shimmer
Pearlescent pva in Berry Red.

I highlighted some areas with the coloured pva.

Remember the clouds earlier, they are now dry, don't they look fab.
I would like to try it with the texture paste white.

I added to Creative Expressions Metallic Gilding Wax in summer blush.

The clouds didn't pop enough on the background so I went back
and added Gilding Wax Enchanted Gold around the edges.

Earlier in the step by step when I was painting the White Art page, I kept
cleaning my brush on a scrap piece of card, this is what I used for the wording.
I stamped Tim Holtz Stuff To Say in Archival Jet Black twice.

I then cut them out, I stamped twice so I could use every other row of each
stamping which makes it easier to cut up :-)

I hope you got through the step by step ok lol, hope you enjoyed it :-).
Happy Crafting :-)

What a fabulous creative leap you took with the perfume bottle - it makes a fantastic balloon. The shimmering blue sky and blingy clouds are gorgeous - what a treat of a hanging, and the perfect sentiment too!
