Creative Expressions - Vintage Chic

Hi ya, Wow I have been away for so long, I'm afraid that when I thought I was getting better, the minute the antibiotics finished I got a lot worse, and I also caught a virus and tonsillitis on top, I am still on medication but I finally think I am out of the woods (fingers crossed) and yesterday I spent my first day in my craft room for over two weeks!!!!
Today I have my DT creation for Creative Expressions Blog and this month we are working with some wonderful stamps, Creative Expressions Stamp Set Antique Dressforms and also the wonderful Creative Expression Singles bags (which I have used today).  As Always I shall highlight Creative Expressions products in my step by step.
Don't Forget this will be the last post to comment to win the Creative Expressions Antique Dressform stamps which I will reveal the winner next Monday.  All the details are on this post.

This week I did a burlap panel.

Lots of close up pictures :-)

Now for the Step by Step :-)

To decorate the background I used Distress Crackle Paint Rock Candy,
Eco Green Paint Aged Gold and Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes Summer Meadow.

I mixed the crackle paint with the aged gold paint.

I used an old Itune card to scrape the mixture over the panel.

Next I sprinkled the gilding flakes over the top and let dry.

There were some areas that didn't have enough crackle for the gilding
flakes to stick, so I went back and added just the Distress Rock Candy
Crackle Paint.

I used the old card to scrape the paint on.

When the above had dried I used some of the aged gold paint
watered down to stain the crackle paint.
Next I used Special Touch Mask Peacock with Cosmic Shimmer Texture Paste
Gold Pearl and in areas sprinkled Distress Glitter Peeled Paint.

I wanted a rather thin layer of the texture paste.

Then I sprinkled a bit of the green glitter, this was to
help it blend with the green in the gilding flakes.

All nice and dry with lots of texture :-)

Can you see that the texture paste has blended with the crackle which
makes a crackle effect, how cool is that :-)

Next I used Creative Expressions Adhesive Sheets with Cosmic
Shimmer Gilding Flakes Summer Meadow.

I covered a sheet of the adhesive sheet with the gilding flakes,
I left some areas rough so it added more texture.
In the end I used half this sheet, but have saved the rest for
another day :-)

Next I used Ranger Black Perfect Medium with Cosmic Shimmer
Detailed Black Embossing Powder with the Creative Expressions
Single Stamps Basket Weave Purse and Bejewelled Bag.

I then carefully added it to a piece of card to give it support.

To decorate the bags I used Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA Olympic Gold,
Black Pearl, Creative Expressions Metallic Gilding Wax Midnight and
Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter Sahara Gold.

The midnight gilding wax is fantastic to give some shading to the
corners.  I rubbed some on my finger, then gave it a hard rub to spread it about.

I used the gorgeous pearl pva and sprinkled bits of the gold polished glitter.

I used some old alphabet stickers for the title covering
it with Distress Glitter Black Soot.

I used Creative Expressions Pearl Swirl Black to decorate some areas.

Right I better be off, hope I didn't bore you too much lol, I always take too many pictures. Thank you all for visiting and waiting while I was poorly lol.
Happy Crafting :-)
Hugs Kezzy xxxxx

Wow! Kerry this is amazing! I am so glad to see you back. I was really worried and about to email, but I didn't want to bother you too soon in case you were poorly and needed to rest, which clearly you were. The texture of this project is superb. I only just saw it on my dashboard, as I've had a migraine for the last couple of days. Hang on in there, Kerry and get yourself strong and well! Julie Ann xxx

So sorry to hear you've been through the mill with all those bugs - hope you're on the path to full recovery now!
