WOYWW 140 AND CANDY WINNER

Hi all, candy winner today but I shall reveal all later on in the post.  So I'm afraid I haven't had much time to catch up with everyone's blog and my blog has been rather quiet this last week, this is because as you know my daughter was diagnosed by the GP having ceoliac disease, well we went to see a specialist on Friday who thankfully was able to diagnose from the blood results so she didn't need a biopsy.  Well what I didn't realise is that Shannon (15) didn't believe she had it, so Friday was a big shock, and well we have had tears, refusing to eat, her life is over, sleeping all day, refusing to go to school and to top it off, her not eating but still being ill with it made her poorly, so I have spent all my time, spending time with her, buying different bits to try, looking at recipes, watching tv and at last, yesterday evening she went on her computer to chat to mates and is back at school today, I shall stop there as it really has upset me.
On a brighter note, my desk is full of jewellery, yep my sister changed her mind and I had to order the bits which came Monday and start trying to bead late in the evening while Shannon was asleep lol.  My desk......
The gems were out last night as my sister popped up and she was wanting ideas, and she thought about putting gems on shoes.
As you can see, lots of beads and findings, the top left is an inspiration picture of what she wants (is she real!!!) and on my desk is the amber cabochons I have just finished beading.
I really really want/need to play with stamps, inks and paper at the moment, and I'm really missing it, but as you can imagine the party is Saturday and I need to get this done, mind you I have my DT cards to do by tomorrow night so I shall get to play a little lol.  I don't know about you but when stress is at it's highest then I love to hide and forget in a pile of craft stash so I have promised myself that this weekend when the jewellery is done, I shall be doing craft craft craft, so I shall get to play in some challenges lol.
CANDY
Now that was a bit of hell sorting out, I spent some time writing names and numbers down ........
this was last night as I normally post just before bed, but then I went on the random thingy site and spent an hour playing with changing colours etc to match my blog but then it wouldn't come on here, well I spent another hour doing everything possible and in the end I got a tired (as just before bed) explain why to me before my computer was physically thrown out the window, so off he went on a blah blah blah trying to explain HTLM or HTML goodness knows, at that stage I didn't want to know how I just wanted him to do it, but according to him I can't so I went to bed before hitting my computer or him lol.  So here is a photo of my lovely matching my blog random thingy and the number is.........................
now don't you think that it matches my blog, I didn't even write down the colour combination to do it again doh :-) so the winner is number 22 .....
which is Lisa, I shall go and email her to say she has won, I believe she lives in UK and her website is gorgeous (just has a peek) so if you want to congratulate her or be green with envy lol her blog is http://the-craft-garden.blogspot.com/, I did have two Lisa's but did check with numbers and it's definitely this Lisa lol. Wow how confusing is that.
Right I better go, just three more bits, one, while I was trying to get random on I was trying to get it via gadgets and look on my side bar I'm posh I have an email thingy saying when I have posted lol, two, if you want to check out some wonderful blogs hop on over to Julia's blog and three Nikki from http://graphixanddesign.blogspot.com/ does woyww blinkies and I have found the blinkie for mem WOYWW a very long long long long post!!!!! I shall leave you now, thanks to everyone who commented and posted about my candy and a big hello to all my new followers.  Lots of crafty hugs Kezzy xxx

Sorry to hear your daughter has not taken the news well. My niece (nearly 9 years old) was diagnosed when she was 5 years old. It does take some getting used to and a while to find foods and recipes she likes! Thanks for sharing your WOYWW! Sarah x #114 Oh by the way I'm a new follower now!!

Hopefully your daughter will gradually become more accepting of this diagnosis.
It takes some getting used to the idea, I am sure.

You are keeping busy with your beads...you still deserve a wee bit of fun!

Teens are stroppy anyway but your poor girl has got a lot to cope with, all of a sudden. She'll realise, once the change of diet makes her feel better, that her life hasn't ended - but poor you as well, having to cope with it all...

Sorry to hear the news about your daughter. I hope you can find lots of things for her to eat. The internet should help and maybe Amazon has some books.
Good luck with the beads/gems and congrats to Lisa.

I was diagnosed with Celiacs in 2009 and it was really tough - cried for a week and refused to believe it until a biopsy, but I had ended up in hospital having a blood transfusion and not far from a coma due to chronic anemia. It is very serious and not an 'allergy'...but once I got over the shock and learned to cope, the improvement in both my physical and emotional health made it worth while. I still feel down, think the NHS are very stingy - miss my Weetabix, Chelsea buns and Yorkshire pudding - but also learning that GF can taste just as good too. It is definitely worth joining Celiacs.org - they are brilliant for info, help, tips, shopping directory and recipes. If I wasn't diagnosed I would never have my little one on the way now! Hope your daughter will pick up soon...it sucks big time, worse if you are young I'm sure. Sainsburys and Asda have a lot of yummy stuff! And after that - wishing you strength too! Thanks for letting us look in and peek at your desk... Sarah at 7
