Hi all, it's Wednesday which means it's time for
WOYWW which is hosted by the amazing Julia. I was going to miss this week, things have been a bit stressful and hectic around here at the moment. As you know my 13yr old son has had a few problems and at last he has a support worker, but it means that things seem to have gotten worse, I know the saying is things have to get worse before better but it's hard, especially when he admitted that on Friday when he had his angry tantrum he thought he was going to hit me, he was trying to escape out of the front door, I stood there while he was shoving but crying after he said that it was a good job his step dad walked in as he lost so much control that he was going to hit me, while crying he turned around and said please help me stop becoming a monster, heart breaking. Also my back is now at it's worse and my injections are not due until November, but I'm in lots of pain, (I have morphine when it's really bad but I hate taking it but last night I had no choice) not sleeping well, struggling with house duties, can't walk and at 38 I feel peeved off. I'm working on accounts from home so that's not too bad, I know I'm really lucky their are loads of people out there that are in more pain, have worse illness. Crafting at this point normally helps so much but I seem to be in a craft turmoil, I'm lucky to have so much stuff, new bits etc but I can't seem to work out what I want to do, I start doing for a challenge but then find another I want to do, then I see something else and now when I need my craft to escape it's stressing me more.
How do you get out of that situation, does anybody ever feel like that with craft? I need it more then ever at the moment lol so any ideas will help.
I am so sorry that I have said all of this, but I really needed to tell somebody. I am so sorry that I didn't get to visit anyone last week, the tutorials through September are now finished but it took until Monday to wrap it all up and then of course life has got in the way.
But I'm planning on visiting loads this week, not just because I want to see all the wonderful desks but also because it helps to know YOUR ALL OUT THERE :-) and I really appreciate everything you have done for me, every word, comment and hug as been gratefully received so a BIG thank you.

My heart breaks for you and your family. I pray that your son and your back will improve. Your desk is definitely in the throes of creativity and I love the BoBunny paper pad! Hope your day and week goes well!

Oh Kerry. Words are just not enough. Wish I could just wave my magic wand for you. I'm sure the stress of your situation really will not be helping your back problem. I'm sending you and your family big healing hugs and hope you know I am here for you any time.
Hugs,

Kerry, I'm so sorry to hear that things are so turbulent and traumatic for you and your family at the moment. I'm sure it's good to have got some of it off your chest, and we've got broad shoulders here in Craftyblogland, so don't apologise...
It's completely understandable that when you sit down at your desk your mind is still in turmoil, hopping from one thing to another. One of my favourite things to do is to put on a piece of music I love, and listen (sometimes over and over again), and as I'm listening just let what happens with my fingers and my stash happen - so that I'm not making the decisions... if that makes any kind of sense.
I'm sending thoughts and wishes your way for the health of your whole family...

Oh Kerry what a struggle you are having. I know crafting is the best therapy so pick just something straightforward that you really enjoy doing and get into it. Just focusing on something positive, that takes you to another plac, can really give you a boost. It sounds as if you need a BIG boost! Thinking of you. x Jo
another place!!
ah Kezzy! It is a sad post I just read and I am sending you a private message because it is a long story I want to tell you. Love all the crafty stuff and hope you get to play with it soon. Vickie #22
