Little Tiny Christmas Tree

Hi all, I'm back again with a entry for Crafty Individuals Festive Sparkle Challenge.  Now I haven't entered before now as I really couldn't seem to get anything Christmasey right, but yesterday I bought a little Christmas tree and decided to decorate it for the challenge.  Yep as you can imagine, lots and lots and lots of shrink plastic.  I used Brilliance ink and stamped the text first, then lightly heat dried, then stamped again with a darker metalic colour.  Then I shrunk them all with my heat gun, next I used UTEE to cover them 3 times then added a little sparkle embossing powder in places to give the sparkle.

Now before I go can anybody help me.  For some reason I can't see the linky on any challenge blogs I go to, not even the one I design for.  My OH reckons I have deleted something so it's hiding.  His computer shows it up so I am going to have to link this his.  I started commenting on a pile of blogs saying I can't see your linky, they must think I'm mad!!!!  Right better be off, thanks for visiting.  Hugs Kerry xxx

WOYWW 182

Hi all, it's Wednesday which means it's time for my weekly addiction of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday where all us crafter's get together to show our desks to each other. I'm rather late this evening so I shall get on with it lol

Die cuts I received from a die cut swap that the design team
had.  There are loads more dies I want now lol.
I haven't been well lately and had a lot gone off  thats
been upsetting.  Today I received from Annie (wipso), I was so
overwhelmed aren't they all gorgeous. Her and Jo (twiglet) have
an online shop if you ever want something beautifully
handmade :-)

Dumping desk lol, I really am trying to get inspired with Christmas,
I always love the run up to Christmas, but because I will
be off a week while healing after my injections which are on the 12th,
I don't feel very christmasy :-(

Think most people have seen these before but I was asked
by Sally who left a comment (she hasn't a blog) for a closer look :-)
Some of the promarkers missing are downstairs lol for sofa crafting.

Right I shall be off, hope everyone has a fantastic week.  Happy Woyww :-) Hugs Kerry xxx

Splash of Paint

Hi all, back again, which means Mr Mojo must slowly be returning and thankfully the cold is slowly disappearing lol.  I normally create in the evening and work in the morning (I work alot from home), but with all the pain (steroid injections in two weeks time hurray means I will be skipping by christmas lol) I have been getting up really early in the mornings.  Normally I watch TV but over the last few days I have spent in my craft room before getting kids up for school and working.  I purchased Trish Latimer's DVD create with paint earlier this year, actually I have also purchased quite a few online inky and painty workshops as well, and I love to watch them especially while ironing!!!!  So I have been itching to get inky again (still a beginner) and after two weeks of failed attempts I decided to get Create with Paint DVD out and work with Trish for the first project.  She was working on canvas but I decided to work on card as I expected my first few attempts to be bin fodder, well that was this morning and I was so impressed with myself I have made it into a card :-)

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :-
                                           Artful Times - Anything Goes
Crafty Boots Challenge - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes

The background is all painted, then I stamped an Indigo Blu Sentiment on
tissue paper then mod podged it on the background.
The girl is stamped with black then clear embossing powder was added
on three times to make it look tiled, then cross stitched onto the background card.

I would advise anyone who wants to learn more about paint to make simple backgrounds to buy the DVD.  Right I'm off to do some more creating!!!! Thanks for visiting :-) Kerry xxx

Mr Frosty

Hi all, I can't believe it's time for another challenge over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog, it's Carrie's turn as host and she has chosen No Squares Allowed, you can either enter via the challenge blog or our facebook page.
I really am disappointed with my creation this week, I haven't had any mojo lately, so I decided to get a few bits out.  The bits I got out were cool blues for christmas as I can't believe it's December next week EEK!!!. Getting everything out really helped and next thing I have so many ideas, I made my own embellishments, inked and embossed, used puff  and crackle paint and I so love the buttons I made from clay.  The only reason I'm not too happy as I feel that I overloaded it all onto one hanging and not sure it looks right :-(.
I would love to enter my hanging into the Frilly and Funkie Challenge which is chipboard (letters) and metal (bells).  The bells were normal silver ones that I put in a little back with stream alcohol ink and some stickles and left them for about two hours.

The letters are chipboard covered in white embossing powder 3 layers then a stamp with brilliance ink is stamped into the melted embossing powder.  The same stamp and ink was also stamped into white fimo clay to make the buttons before they were cooked.  The sides has puff paint then covered with frantage shaved ice before heating. For the snow word on the top circle I used a sparkle medium and a stencil from dylusions. I used crackle paint rock candy on the grungeboard snowman and then sprayed the cracks
after, I have seem Mr Tim Holtz use Distress stains but I only have 3 which were white, antique, burgundy colours which were not exactly the colours I wanted lol.
Right I shall be off, the other half is cooking sunday dinner and it smells gorgeous!!! I'm off to nosy lol.
Thanks for visiting, happy crafting. Kerry :-) xxx

I have definitely been trying to craft and get inky every day, but everything has been bin fodder!!! lol. I have got a stinking cold so maybe Mr Mojo has disappeared in case he gets it!!!

So onto my desks .......................

As you can see my dumping desk is well dumped on this week :-)

My Paperartsy and Indigo Blu stamps that have yet to be
categorised and put in folders.  I am trying to get some ideas for
a DT piece I have to do :-)

WOYWW 180

Hi all, wow doesn't Wednesday come round quick, it's time to show your desks over at Whats on your workdesk wednesday.
Feeling a bit fed up with everything at the moment, when you feel like that you tend to not know what you want to do, so I have just got a few products out to play with :-)

Not much going, some pressed rose petals from my birthday when my OH
bought me a dozen roses :-)

I fancy doing a large tag hanging, with wrinkle free technique with my
distress inkpads, before that I am planning on stamping with versamark some
snowflakes, then sprinkle some masking fluid all over the tag. After adding
all the distress inks I shall rub masking fluid off and hopefully there
will be bits of white showing as if it's snowing.  I'm also planning on using
some chipboard snowflakes heat embossed, also stamped snowflakes
and also some frantage in areas :-) And if that all goes well
I shall make a panel in the middle, just not sure what of
I think it might be a crafty individuals image as they are gorgeous.

My pain injections are in four weeks today hurray, as you know I have been put on morphine, but it really made me feels so tired, so I have compromised and having it at night and trying to manage with my other painkillers in the day, and I only take it in the day if I'm so bad I can't move.  Because of this I am managing to craft again lol.  Right I better be off to play lol, thank you all for visiting and thank you so much for your lovely comments, at least I am more awake to look at other desks and make comments lol.
Happy Woyww :-) Hugs Kerry xxx

Encased Leaves

Hi all, just popping on with a tag that I have just finished.  On Saturday I picked some leaves from the trees in our garden, the colours were really enticing and they were at the point of falling. I put them all in a book and added lots of books on top, I went to check on them today and they looked gorgeous that I had to have a play. I had already done the backing paper as a masterboard in September and it had a real autumn feel, I heated some UTEE on my heat mat, then I added the leaves and sprinkled more UTEE on top.  When cooled I added some music paper to the back. The side of the tag was embossed with stamp bond then mega flakes rubbed over, the L ease a chipboard that has also had the same treatment.

I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges
Frilly and Funky - Tic Tac Toe (below) I used Metal, Chipboard,Lace
Crafting for all Seasons - Falling Leaves
Alphabet Challenge Blog - T for Tags

Better be off, time for bet lol.  I haven't done a recipe as I have already done one for the masterboard, but if you do want to know which post or what I have used then just leave a comment :-), thanks for visiting.
Happy Crafting

WOYWW 179

Hi all, I'm afraid I haven't been on since last week, how the week flies by, as you probably know by now, it's Wednesday which means it's time for my weekly addiction What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by Julia.  My week has been made up of going to docs and being put on morphine until I have my injections, my teenage son thinking that he can take what he wants, taking daughter to check on broken finger, taking daughter for blood tests (coeliac) and helping her to study for her retakes.  I'm afraid mojo completely seemed to disappear, as it is being upset plus not able to craft as in pain sort of helped mojo disappear lol.

As it is I have given up and took what the doctor gave me which is helping, injections are on the 12th December hurray I shall be more pain free by the time crimbo comes.  So at last I managed to get in the craft room last night and guess what Eeek it was a nightmare!!!  While blogging I saw this gorgeous canvas (I can't remember where) which was some die cut hearts accross a canvas so I decided I would whip this up for my mates birthday today, NOT, it really didn't work for me so this is how the craft room ended late last night and will be cleaned after I have put up this post lol.  Done come colouring while mojo has been away so got some cards to make up for on here over the next few days :-)

OK so everything is being dumped on here again,
so I really need to get it sorted lol

My failed attempt from last night, the only added item is what my
son did, he is 13, and I feel a little sad that this is what he
has done on the pc after his latest bout of stealing money.
To remind him not to steal he has put it up in all the cupboards
he searches. I have even had the police to talk to him about it
and he has a support worker.  We are now waiting to see
someone regarding behavioural, its so awful, I feel he is
spending most of his time grounded :-( :-( :-(

Sorry to have emptied all my worries on to you all, but I have had some great advice on here about problems in the past so I really felt I needed to share.
Thank you all for visiting, I'm off now to clean up and get some cards done with all that colouring, plus a DT piece.  Happy Woyww, Hope you all have a fantastic crafty week. Hugs Kerry :-) xxx
