Hi all, I can't believe it's time for another challenge over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog, it's Carrie's turn as host and she has chosen No Squares Allowed, you can either enter via the challenge blog or our facebook page.
I really am disappointed with my creation this week, I haven't had any mojo lately, so I decided to get a few bits out. The bits I got out were cool blues for christmas as I can't believe it's December next week EEK!!!. Getting everything out really helped and next thing I have so many ideas, I made my own embellishments, inked and embossed, used puff and crackle paint and I so love the buttons I made from clay. The only reason I'm not too happy as I feel that I overloaded it all onto one hanging and not sure it looks right :-(.
I would love to enter my hanging into the Frilly and Funkie Challenge which is chipboard (letters) and metal (bells). The bells were normal silver ones that I put in a little back with stream alcohol ink and some stickles and left them for about two hours.
The letters are chipboard covered in white embossing powder 3 layers then a stamp with brilliance ink is stamped into the melted embossing powder. The same stamp and ink was also stamped into white fimo clay to make the buttons before they were cooked. The sides has puff paint then covered with frantage shaved ice before heating. For the snow word on the top circle I used a sparkle medium and a stencil from dylusions. I used crackle paint rock candy on the grungeboard snowman and then sprayed the cracks
after, I have seem Mr Tim Holtz use Distress stains but I only have 3 which were white, antique, burgundy colours which were not exactly the colours I wanted lol.
Right I shall be off, the other half is cooking sunday dinner and it smells gorgeous!!! I'm off to nosy lol.
Thanks for visiting, happy crafting. Kerry :-) xxx

I think you're wall hanging is festive and gorgeous! Not too much detail at all. The more, the better I say!!
