Singin' in the rain!!!!

Hi ya, I know I disappeared for two weeks, lets just say all was well and then Aunt Tensy (we are her only family) was rushed into hospital, the next day my mum was rushed into a different hospital so we ended up spending Easter weekend going to both hospitals each day.  On Tuesday mum came out which was great but Aunt Tensy is still in there with dementia (she is 98 and I love her to bits).  I haven't been able to see her since then as I got a nasty sickness bug (yuck) and then a cold virus :-(. Still got the cold but the fever has gone so really hoping the hospital will let me in tomorrow.

So now I have got you up to date with my boring stuff it's mega time for some creating and of course I have another card for you (still trying to keep with my 2 a month).  I have a lot of other stuff to show but this one I did for the Frilly and Funkie square challenge (I always do square cards lol).
I have done a step by step and you can find the product list at the end of the post.
I would like to enter the following challenges -

Anything But Cute Challenge Blog - This beautiful mood board regarding celebrating our Earth.

I'm inspired by the colour and for me when I think of celebrating the Earth I am always inspired not just by the ground but by the wonderful skies through all the seasons.
My card :-)

Step By Step

I cut a piece of watercolour card and added crackle paste through the clouds stencil and texture paste through the dot fade

Next I used Distress stains with plenty of water in several layers - first broken china and tumbled glass

This was the first layer dry

Next blueprint sketch and salty ocean with water

This was then dried

Next blueprint sketch and mermaid lagoon.

This is it dried.

Now initially I was going to add some sun details but didn't like it so I started to cover it up.

First with the blueprint sketch and picket fence

Then the rest of the other colours added a little bit of water all along.

Then I added more white and sprayed loads of water everywhere to blend.

I wanted some stones so I used more watercolour paper and first Distress spray pumice stone and water

Then distress stain hickory smoke

and finally some brushed pewter stain.

This is it dried.

Next I stamped the brick with watering can

I added stamped rain droplets with mermaid lagoon

I cut the stone with the confetti alteration border die and with black card the umbrella man.  Next I did water droplets with the glass effect gel.

Some stamping with the santa boot stamp free with the craft stamper magazine and music from some old Debbie Moore stamps.

I added some black around the clouds and layered on a card blank I made.  Not shown is how I splattered mermaid lagoon paint and added the song title by stamping onto white cardstock.

Right I better be off, Wednesday tomorrow so definitely hoping to join WOYWW.  Thank you so much for visiting.

Happy Art :-)
Hugs Kezzy xxxxx

Great project but now I have that tune in my head and can't get it out. Without rain our earth would sure be in more trouble than it is. Love all the stenciling and stamping, especially the boot prints - clever. Thanks for joining us at Anything But Cute.
Hugs!

Great project, your step by step guide was really interesting, such a lot of work and thought involved. You must have cut the man's leg and put it at a jaunty angle too ? Love it ! Thanks for joining in with the Sisters of Craft Challenge, best wishes, Anne (DT) x
