WOYWW 178

Hi all, back again, can't believe I have just posted about 5 minutes ago my take on Mr Holtz October tag, I have never entered before but it was really fun, I also did an ATC which I shall put a picture at the bottom of the post in case anybody would like to do a swap :-).  So it's Wednesday (just lol) and it's time for my weekly addiction of What's on your workdesk Wednesday which is hosted by the amazing Julia. I have done quite a bit of craft this week, I am definitely finding craft is helping me cope with all the ups and downs that is happening at the moment and also helps with the pain I'm in and I'm finally enjoying all the crafty bits I do whether it being inky or just doing some colouring it's very peaceful :-)
So my desks ......
The halloween bits on the desk are for the knock on the door
visitors with all their cute costumes, I did 18 bags of candy (picture below)
Also middle top is where I shifted my October tag to earlier today while
I did the candy.  The top left is a Kraftin Kimmie stamp I received this
morning for winning a challenge, it came all the way from Canada, how
cool is that :-)

Dumping desk is not too bad, I do try and keep on top of it so I can get
to the sewing machine.

As you can see here, still no progress on the stamps being put away
into files, all this stamps are new this year!!!! as I had completed the
rest in files which are shelves above this picture.

Bowl full of candy for trick and treaters

This is a picture of my daughters 16th birthday cake that was made by my best mates
friend.  The best and special thing was she could eat all of it
as it was all gluten free, as you know she was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease
earlier this year.  By the way it wasn't an halloween party!!!, seeing the cake
I bet you thought so lol lol, lets just say my daughter doesn't wear pink,
black, purple and red that's all she wears, plus rips, lads trainers (well she is a size 10!!)
I always tease her saying I want to go pretty girl shopping but nope I have to
buy from places like Blue Banana and Grindstore and lots of other weird and
wonderful names lol lol.

ATC, my take on Mr Holtz October tag, the
post I did with the tag in it is here.
I'm hoping someone will want to swap with me :-)

Right I shall go now seems I have just made you look through all those pictures lol.  I would like to say a huge hello to all my new followers, each time I have a new follower I am honoured that someone likes my creations.  Thank you all for visiting, Happy Woyww :-) Hugs Kerry xxx

Mr Tim Holtz October Tag

Hi all, just popping on to share my take on Tim Holtz's October tag which you can find here on his amazing blog http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2012-october/.
I really loved the tissue technique, but I stamped on mine (shown below) first. Then I stuck the tissue paper onto the tag and sprayed Dylusion sprays all over it.  Coloured it with distress inks. The Boo is made with grunge alphabets which I painted with black paint then glittered it using black and a hint of purple glitter.  The spider didn't glitter well so in the end I used black sparkle embossing powder on him then stuck so googly eyes on, I also embossed the spiders web with the black sparkle as well.  I stamped the month stamp (details of stamps in recipe below), then stamped out spooky on kraft cardstock and cut the pieces out.

I made my own tissue background by stamping on it.
I have got some of Tim Holtz tissue but I only have a couple
of A4 sheets that I bought from Chocolate Baroque.

I also made an ATC so hopefully someone may want to swap :-)

Right I shall be off as I now have to do my woyww post so back in a minute!!!! Thank you for visiting :-)
Hugs Kerry xxx

WOYWW 177

Hi all, it's Wednesday time for our weekly addiction to WOYWW (what's on your workdesk wednesday) which is hosted by the wonderful Julia.  I have been spending some lovely time in my craft room, even though the problems I have been having are still around at last I have managed to find peace with my craft rather than hiding away :-).  The last few days I have spent alot of time doing cards with the images I have been colouring in while sofa crafting, but I am also itching to have some inky time.  I have come to the conclusion that I love both cute/colouring and inky/messy lol. Before I show you my desk, don't forget I have blog candy giveaway on this post here which also is part of a blog hop, you don't have to do the hop (fab prizes if you do), but for my candy you only need to comment on the above post :-)
So onto my desks -

Yep, decided that I had so many promarkers downstairs that I would
bring them up, then just to add to the confusion I have got the new
limited winter and autumn additions and some greys so now I want
to mix some of them around which means messing the labels around lol

On top of the drawers are a large and small journal as I really think I
could benefit from trying to have a go, I have read the magazine
journal and am sort of jealous that some crafters can express their feelings
this way, and I thought maybe instead of looking from afar why
don't I have a go, I have never been a diary person but I'm hoping
this will be more fun.
Can you see those inks on my desk, I got those through the post
today I won a giveaway in the magazine scrap, they look fab.
Some more images I want to put on cards before I start colouring
anymore lol.

Does anybody know of any ATC swaps or christmas swaps going on, I did a christmas on last year and really enjoyed it, and I have started to make some more ATC's.
Right I shall be off, I haven't been able to comment lately so off now to do some commenting and look at some awesome desks.  Happy Woyww :-) Hugs Kerry xxxx

WOYWW 175 Oops Late Again!!!

Hi all, it's Wednesday (sort of Thursday but trying to fool you all lol) which means it's time for WOYWW hosted by Julia where everyone shares their desks :-).  Thank you all for your lovely comments last week, they were all very uplifting.  The good news is I am feeling a little more postive, I have to admit I believe this is after being so low as the week has been complicated, I'm afraid my son got worse at the weekend which led to me having a complete meltdown on Sunday evening, my daughter broke her finger quite badly last Thursday playing basketball and we have been going to and from hospital and then just as mojo is returning Tuesday evening I fell down the stairs yesterday, thank goodness nothing broken, just very bruised and pulled muscles, and lets just say at the moment I am definitely sitting on one side of my body, sitting normally is painful lol lol.  I guess you have to hit rock bottom to start feeling better which has helped me laugh after my fall, well 24hours later, yesterday I couldn't even get upstairs to my computer.  I have been completely away from work, blogging, crafting for a week so I'm afraid I didn't get to comment but I really want to catch up with everyone who gave me such inspiration, I took all of it on Tuesday and chaneled into doing some work from home, Alison said listen to music and wow this really helped, hence the crafting Tuesday evening.  So I shall get back to you all and a big thanks again.

Please be aware this was taken this morning and yes I had to leave my craft space a mess like this since Tuesday on the basis of not being able to clear any of it up yesterday due to the fall lol.

Right I shall be off, I have a card to put on later for a challenge and have more for tomorrow so lots of posts compared to non.  Thank you again to everyone being so supporting.  Hugs :-) Kerry xxx

WOYWW 174

Hi all, it's Wednesday which means it's time for WOYWW which is hosted by the amazing Julia.  I was going to miss this week, things have been a bit stressful and hectic around here at the moment.  As you know my 13yr old son has had a few problems and at last he has a support worker, but it means that things seem to have gotten worse, I know the saying is things have to get worse before better but it's hard, especially when he admitted that on Friday when he had his angry tantrum he thought he was going to hit me, he was trying to escape out of the front door, I stood there while he was shoving but crying after he said that it was a good job his step dad walked in as he lost so much control that he was going to hit me, while crying he turned around and said please help me stop becoming a monster, heart breaking.  Also my back is now at it's worse and my injections are not due until November, but I'm in lots of pain, (I have morphine when it's really bad but I hate taking it but last night I had no choice) not sleeping well, struggling with house duties, can't walk and at 38 I feel peeved off. I'm working on accounts from home so that's not too bad, I know I'm really lucky their are loads of people out there that are in more pain, have worse illness. Crafting at this point normally helps so much but I seem to be in a craft turmoil, I'm lucky to have so much stuff, new bits etc but I can't seem to work out what I want to do, I start doing for a challenge but then find another I want to do, then I see something else and now when I need my craft to escape it's stressing me more.
How do you get out of that situation, does anybody ever feel like that with craft? I need it more then ever at the moment lol so any ideas will help.
I am so sorry that I have said all of this, but I really needed to tell somebody.  I am so sorry that I didn't get to visit anyone last week, the tutorials through September are now finished but it took until Monday to wrap it all up and then of course life has got in the way.
But I'm planning on visiting loads this week, not just because I want to see all the wonderful desks but also because it helps to know YOUR ALL OUT THERE :-) and I really appreciate everything you have done for me, every word, comment and hug as been gratefully received so a BIG thank you.

Right desk .......

Sofa Craft

Dumping desk :-)

A mega mix of bits

Right I shall be off, hope you all have a good week, I'm off to visit :-) Lots of hugs Kerry xxx
