Creative Expressions - Doodled

Hi ya, hope your all having a fabulous bank holiday for those in the UK, the weather in the Midlands is absolutely gorgeous this morning and I'm looking forward to a day of crafting :-).  Of course being Monday it's time for my creation for the Creative Expressions Blog and today I am using the Creative Expressions Single Stamp Zentangled Happy Birthday to make a card and envelope.  As always I shall highlight all of the Creative Expressions products.  Also don't forget to pop on over to the Craft Clearance Online Shop to grab those Creative Expressions past and present products which are mega reduced prices :-)

Both card and envelope together :-)

Lots of close ups lol

And now for the step by step .............................

Firstly I cut some Acetate with the large die from Spellbinders Labels Four and
a outside and inside flower from Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Dies Finishing Touches
Classic Rose.

Next I made a card blank from Creative Expressions Card stock and then
made an envelope to fit.

I used Ranger Glue and Seal over the envelope first to protect it
as the paper was thin, then I painted the front of the envelope and a piece of
Creative Expressions Card stock with Cosmic Shimmer Matt Chalk Paint Vanilla.

Next I got my paints which are a mix of Cosmic Shimmer Matt Chalk Paint which
are Opaque and Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paint which are mostly translucent.
My adding the opaque paint first, then adding stamped details with the translucent
paint second, you can still see under the translucent paint which gives great depth.
On the envelope I used my acetate mask of the labels I cut earlier.  I used some
non permanent spray adhesive to the back of the acetate.

I brayered my first layer of Creative Expressions Matt Chalk paint Tuberose,
as you can see the mask with the spray adhesive has stayed in place, I haven't
used the mask on the piece of card as I wanted to show both ways.

Next colour of the Matt Chalk Paint was Citron

Next colour was Blueberry Crush

I then used the Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paint Pearl, you
can see that it gives a gorgeous shimmer and tones it down slightly
but because it's translucent you can see all the brayered colours underneath.

Before removing the mast I used a black pen to draw around it.

Next I used the stencil that I made earlier from acetate and
mixed the Shimmer Paint Pearl with the Matt Paint Orchid together to
give it a shine.  I only used a little bit of the shimmer paint as I didn't want
to make the matt paint too translucent.

Next I used the inner part of the rose stencil I made earlier and used
Matt paint Blueberry Crush.

Doesn't it look fab, it's a great way to use your dies in a different way :-)

I missed out taking photos of the piece of card oops, I used the stencil part
of the labels four and used the Shimmer Paint Pearl and Matt Chalk Orchid mix from earlier.
Then I replaced it with the mask and drew around quite thickly with a black pen.
You can see I also have doodled a bit around the envelope and flowers.
Next I used Creative Expressions Single Stamp Zentangled Happy Birthday with
Archival Jet Black ink pad.

I have to admit I got a bit over excited and forget to take the pictures
of me stamping, I used Creative Expressions Background Stamp Bubble Wrap with
Shimmer Paint Gold Lime and Creative Expressions Background Stamp
Alpha Writing with Matt Chalk Paint Blueberry Crush.

I used the inside flower stencil with Matt Chalk Paint Blueberry Crush, Orchid and Citron
in areas on the piece of card.

I used Creative Expressions Stamp Set Textures to stamp script in areas
of both pieces with Archival Jet Black Ink Pad.

I then did some doodling, it was really fun, I have never really done it before and
I have to admit it was quite relaxing, mind you it is hard to work out when to stop lol.
I also cut a matt of black card for the piece of card before layering it on the
card blank, I did use my white pen to do dots around the black card to tie it all in.

Right I better be off, hope you all have a wonderful day and hopefully get some crafting time for yourselves.
Happy Crafting :-)
Hugs Kezzy xxxxx
