Creative Expressions - Thinking of Spring!!!!!

Hi all, yep it's Monday so it's time for my project for the Creative Expressions Blog and this month we are working with the amazing Henna stamps. I bet your wondering why the title, well this week I have done a bunting with lots of bright colours, but I also couldn't help myself to do a Christmas one as well, actually this bunting could be used for birthdays, names, weddings, christenings, easter..... the list goes on.  As usual I will highlight the products in red and you can find where to buy from and what products they sell by going to the Creative Expressions Website :-).

I just love these stamps as backgrounds.

Seems it's Christmas I couldn't help but add a Christmas Banner as
an extra :-)

Now for the step by step :-)

Look at all those yummy colours :-)

To start with I took some Creative Expressions cardstock and some
Distress Inkpads - I used dusty concord, picked raspberry, mowed lawn,
salty ocean, mustard seed and rip persimmon.  I used my
blending foam and coloured separate pieces of card with each of the colour.
(xmas Distress festive berries and peeled paint)

Don't the colours look fab together.

I then did my favourite technique by flicking with water, strange
though, it didn't matter how many times I flicked with water the
ripe persimmon didn't want to play lol.

Next I used Cosmic Shimmer Mist Pearl to give that
glorious sparkle (xmas Cosmic Shimmer Pearl and Rich Gold)

Next I covered my Tim Holtz Grunge Alphabet with
Distress Paint Picket Fence.

I then painted with each of the corresponding Distress Paint colour and
edged with Distress Markers (picked raspberry, mustard seed, salty ocean,
mowed lawn, dusty concord and ripe persimmon)
(xmas peeled paint and festive berries)

Next I used Perfect Medium and Cosmic Shimmer Detail Black Embossing powder
with the Creative Expressions stamps Henna Mandala, Henna Petals, Henna Mosaic
and Henna Rangoli plus I stamped on the letters from the Creative Expressions
stamp set Textures.  (xmas same stamp set Textures and Henna
Rangoli and Henna Petals with Cosmic Shimmer Detail Bright Gold)

Next I die cut them out with Spellbinders Circles

I have lots and lots of eyelets that I have gained over the years so
I thought I would use them for this.  I edged my circles with Distress black soot,
I then cut out some black card stock with the Spellbinders Scallop Circle die)

All ready to the eyelets to be added and the letters to go on,
in the end I used the small circle from Spellbinders circle with black card
for the letters to sit on.  I then used some Creative Expressions Twine Primary
to make the bunting.  I found by adding glue at the end of the twine it was
easier to thread :-)

This is scheduled post lol, hopefully by the time Monday comes I shall be up and about after Fridays back injections which went really well.  Got lots to show you this week as I didn't get them posted last week lol.  (EEEk problem with scheduling I am trying to remember that next week is this week etc lol lol lol.
Happy Crafting :-)
Hugs Kezzy xxxxx
