Hi all, just popping on to tell you about something new over at That Craft Place Shop Blog, Erin one of our design team members came up with Show ur Stash. Each fortnight there will be a different theme, this time its Show ur Pens, so basically we the DT will show you what pens we have and how we store them, you will also have the chance to show yours.
A sneak peak
Want to see more, why don't you zoom on over to the shop blog and have a look at all the DT's lovely
pens :-).
I shall hopefully be back later with a steampunk card, I am also planning on doing a tutorial this week as well, stamping of fabric. Hope you have a fantastic crafty Sunday. Thanks for visiting :-) Kerry xxx

Less is More - Sewing
Hi all, again I have to be quick as I am hoping to just make the Less is More Challenge Blog and the challenge which is about to end in 20 minutes is Sewing. I had some time to play this evening so I decided to have a go at stamping on calico and colouring with promarkers, now this can be tricky as you need a permanent inkpad but something that won't bleed with promarkers. After testing my inkpads the one that worked well was Versacraft which can be used on fabric, I stamped some flowers on the top and bottom by masking then in the middle some bubbles, I coloured with promarkers, then sewn the heart, stuffed, did some sewing accross to give a quilted feeling (happy accident!!!), then some bits of fabric, lace and ribbon.
It's not the best picture as it's dark, but the closer one is a bit better.
Right better go and enter, 15mins to go lol. Thanks for visiting :-) Kerry xxx
Recipe
Stamps - Paperartsy (hot picks HP1109, squiggly minis 15)
Ink pad - Versacraft black
Promarkers - Cerise and Magenta
Paperartsy Die - tall heart
Ribbon, sewing machine, sewing, calico, pink and cream thread, lace.

Stampman - Summer Colours
Hi all, 2nd post of the day lol, right I need to be ultra quick, yet again I'm late for the challenge over at The Stampman Challenge Blog which is Anything Goes as long as it's Summer Colours. Because I was so late I thought I had missed it, but earlier I was having a play and I went with summer colours yellow, orange and green.
I used dylusion sprays which are the old ones apart from the yellow, and to tone it down I used cosmic shimmer mist and perfect pearls sprays, these were done on the flowers, leaves and sentiment. For the background I used distress inks, dried, then flower mask, dried slightly and then shook holographic embossing powder to give a twinkle.
I did the above same sprays on the seem binding and then built up the flower I stamped from Studio 490.
I have took two pictures, one is without flash but doesn't show up the twinkle so one is done with the flash, couldn't decide which was best lol.
Right better be off as I will miss it, 15mins and counting EEK!!! Thanks for visiting :-) Kerry xxx
Recipe

Cosmic Mists - golden mint, rich gold
Perfect Pearl Spray - Pearl

WOYWW 164 - Thursday!!!!!
Hi all, yep this is a mega late woyww, I'm afraid yesterday I was busy packing for the kids as they have gone off to their dads for 8 days, then yesterday afternoon I was totally lost, I couldn't do anything, everyone is saying I need the break because of everything that has been happening but I felt lost.
I had took a picture for woyww (the most addictive craft event every week hosted by Julia), I was just about to start crafting and thought, maybe I could get away with doing it today, so I hope that's ok lol.
I have one more pic, this is of today what I'm about to start, I have left the colouring until tomorrow as I was getting frustrated, so now I have decided to have some inky play, it's summer over at the stampman and the challenge finishes this evening (better late then never lol).
Right I shall be off seems this is an ultra late post lol, thank you all for your kind comments I really do appreciate everyone of them, also a huge welcome to my new followers.
I also finished the project I had on my desk last week which was the steampunk trellis which you can fine on this post. Hope you all have a fantastic crafty week, Happy woyww :-) Kerry xxx

Some bits and bobs I have got out for a card and tag
with a steampunk theme.
Trying to do red hair on a Kraftin Kimmie stamp, I am planning
to do this in steampunk style hence the patterned paper from
Graphic 45, the stamp has roses all along the bottom so
I thought it would match nicely but trying to do red hair is a nightmare.
If anyone can help I use pro and flex markers and as you can
see, the pile to your left under the stamp are bin fodder trys lol.
Also two new pads as well on the desk :-)

Steampunk Day
Hi all, it's Sunday which means it's time for another challenge over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog and this next fortnight it's Steampunk and our sponsor is Indigo Blu. I also would like to enter my creation into the Mojo Monthly over at Sarah's Blog which is What is your Style and the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show which is No Rules.
Since Artsycrafts retreat I have realised that I love creating projects that are made up of tiny creations, I still find comfort in my colouring and blending but I am really happy that my stamping is getting to the point that I can show everyone, to the point that I'm even having a go at the Simon's says stamp and show challenge blog, I love the creations over there and spend each week looking but never felt confident to have a go.
I am loving being on the DT over at That Craft Place which is my second DT ever and I have goodies sent to me to use, how exciting is that, I feel really lucky to be given such a huge chance to work with some incredible people. I really love the steampunk style and also follow Sarah's blog as she does amazing work especially her steampunk style.
I went to one of these Family Bargains places where everything is cheap and found a little picket fence for 99p, I asked the OH to get some wire mesh, we did this in Artsycrafts and I love the idea of it feeling really open, I also got the OH to saw off the spiky bits off the fence. Those spiky bits really helped as I used them for testing paint etc to see what I could use, I finally decorated it with Stazon Rusty Brown, then sprayed with some Dylusions, Cosmic Shimmer and Moon Shadow mists, the metal was also coloured with random stazon.
The gears were cut from chipboard (that comes in packaging) and painted with a bronze paint, then sanded, then sponged black in areas, then came the Crafty Notions rusty powder, now wow that stuff really is brilliant but alot of work, I used multi medium, then added powder, shook off what I didn't use and sprayed vinegar all over (outside of course), it says water but I heard somewhere that spraying this would be quicker, but I'm not so sure, after an hour I sprayed water, then another hour more water, then bought them in and sprayed again and then let dry overnight but I am really impressed they really look like rusty gears. I did the same with the chipboard letters and the chain got a rusty go as well.
I'm pretty sure you can see how the rest is done, mostly stamped on metal, wire added for depth to give the steampunk style, fragments with clock picture and then faux soldered with UTEE, Lava black UTEE poured on cracked stamp, with a heart cutter, mica powder, clock embellishments and rusty wings.

I have to say this, those letters really didn't want to play, they kept running away, I had one fall down at the back of the radiator which is one of those almost closed at the bottom so only small bits can come out, I had OH untangling a metal coat hanger, he kept saying just make a new one, I'm like this is due in by 6pm it's now 12pm I haven't 16hrs to do another one lol, then bugger me I lost another one, I was on my hands and knees searching everywhere and the runaway was in the recycling bag!!!! lol lol lol
Right I better be off, this had to be on by 9am oops. Hope you all have a fantastic day, it's gorgeous here. Thanks for visiting :-) Kerry xxx

WOYWW 163
Hi all, Wednesday again which means it's time for woyww, I didn't get to visit a lot last week as it's still a bit tough at home, it broke my heart the other night when my son, after an episode of shouting, yelling, being nasty, he turned around to me when I calmed him down and asked Why have I become this monster, I guess you can imagine how I'm feeling. I have waited four weeks for the support worker to visit for the first time but have now been advised that my support worker is changed and that she is on holiday but should ring me this week also he has a hospital appointment on the 9th August so hopefully things will be clearer.
I haven't done much crafting this week as I felt a little low and a cold didn't help, but now I'm feeling a bit better. My desk this week :-
So that's my desks this week, why don't you pop on over and show yours (link above). I need to start catching up now with my blog as I can't believe it's almost a week since I blogged, alot of it is because of lack of mojo :-(. Hope you all have a fantastic crafty week, I'm off to check some desks out. Happy Woyww :-) Kerry xxx

Intrigued!!! A hint of the up and coming challenge at That Craft Place on
Sunday, I can't show the bits and pieces to go there but pop back on Sunday to see :-)
Desk is pretty tidy as last night I had a 'I can't find anything' tantrum and went
on a tidy spree lol
I love colouring but fed up trying to find the colours to
blend and end up taking bags and bags of colours downstairs,
but last night after the tidy spree, I spent a bit of time trying to work out
colours, I also found these cases, I remember buying one, and the other one
I won as a giveaway and it was full of promarkers this was last year sometime.

Hi all, got to be mega quick as the challenge over at The Stampman Challenge Blog which is bling it on, is over in 18 minutes. I had started this a few days ago, but felt a bit off it yesterday so only had this evening to finish it lol.

I coloured calico with a blue starburst stain, I stamped crafty individuals stamp on tissue paper, painted fresco paint on the back, then stuck on to the calico, I re stamped with versamark the hearts on stamping card and embossed using the same blue pearl embossing powder, I coloured the lace with the starburst stain, then sew it on while adding dangling beads.
Right better be off or I won't get there on time, hope you have a fantastic crafty evening (what's left of it lol). Thanks for visitng :-) Kerry xxx

WOYWW 163
Hi ya, it's Wednesday which means it's time to share my desk to the world over on WOYWW (what's on your desk Wednesday). Still having difficult times with my son, but we are slowly getting there, but some days we have really bad days like yesterday which seems to drain me the next day, I ache, feel tired etc which I know is due to stress, so not alot on my desk today. I was in the middle of making a tag and some more ATC's (already got 2 to swap if anyone is interested, if you want a look at the post with them then see here) and I was playing with fresco crackle and after doing it wrong months ago, at last I think I'm doing it right lol.
Right I am off to decide if I can find the energy to carry on with crafting or just go downstairs and watch tv lol. Thank you so much for your kind comments and visitng. Happy Woyww :-) Kerry xxx
Same old dumping desk, the blue card is the back for the ATC's, book for
recording what I'm using, sewing machine as I sew everything now plus I add
fabric to everything lol, then bits and bobs, the little white pot with the black lid
is my new crafty notions puff paint which I can't wait to use.
My brand new came today paperartsy paints, I have been using snowflake mixed with
sprays, but this makes them not permanent so I decided to treat myself :-)
Also on there are the tags and ATC's I'm in the middle of.

Passion for Promarkers - sketch and Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Hi all, just popped on to enter a card over at Passions for Promarkers whose current challenge is a sketch (below), I would also like to enter my card into the challenge over at Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog which is Anything Goes. During the evenings, if I can't lean over and craft because of my back I tend to colour on the sofa, I really am enjoying blending and trying out different promarkers and flexmarkers, I have the full set of both but found I was only using the same colours all the time. I have also found a fantastic card for blending, Vix did a great post regarding types of card and she tested a lot, and now I use Stampin Up card, I can't believe the difference. I also found a better skin colour after playing which is light fawn flexmarker and oatmeal and blush promarker with a bit of tea rose for the cheeks. Anyway sorry I'm waffling on lol here is the sketch for the challenge at passions for promarkers : -
And my card
As you can see I am also enjoying sewing and bringing fabric onto my cards lol. Right I better go, hope you all have a fantastic crafty day, thanks for visiting :-) Hugs Kerry xxx

That Craft Place - Anything Goes and Simon Says - Tag or ATC's
Hi all, it's Sunday which means it's time for our new challenge over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog which is Anything Goes and we are being sponsored by Indigo Blu. You can enter on the challenge blog or on our facebook page, you can also find inspiration for the challenge on our shop blog. I would also like to enter my card into the current challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge, which is Tags/ATC's and I have done both, came accross this challenge blog the other day so I wanted to have a play lol.
I used an manilla tag, then stuck some music paper over it, watered some white paint down and painted of the music paper. Then I stamped the women, masked off and then stamped the advert, masked them both off and stamped the flourish. I then used masking fluid to highlight some of the flourish and some of the women and advert, I found out about the masking fluid from last months Craft stamper. Inked up using distress inkpads, then used sequin waste as well. Took the masking fluid off, sewn around the tag, added some bling and diecut a metal heart, embossed it, then coloured using alcohol inks then stamped the music background on to it. I used Music Hall from Indigo blu for all of the stamping.
I am scheduling this for Sunday morning, and I shall be back with my recipe (items used) tomorrow as I have bits everywhere. I did the tag the other day, then did 2 ATC's for fun today so everything is a mess. Also one of the ATC's is available to swap if anybody wants to swap with me :-)
Hope you have a fantastic crafty Sunday. Thanks for visiting :-) Hugs Kerry xxx
Edit - oops its Tuesday and I haven't linked to Simons Says yet DOH!!!

WOYWW 161
Hi all, it's Wednesday which means us crafter's get our weekly fix of woyww over at the amazing hostess Julia's blog, so go on why don't you show your crafty desk so we all can ooooo and ahhhh lol.
For the first time in ages I'm early, but I need to be quick as I'm in the middle of work lol, mind you my desk I use for work/craft I usually try and clear before working, but today as you will see, that's impossible and I'm working on the desk with my computer on in a little space :-)
BE WARNED - this may upset crafters who went to the Tim Holtz artsycrafts last year!!!! lol

Dumping desk, sewing machine still being used on most things,
book paper, patterend paper, paints, wax crayons all lying
in wait to be used :-)
BE WARNED - this may upset crafters who went to the Tim Holtz artsycrafts last year!!!! lol
I have now finished one DT so am planning lots of playing,
I'm working on a tag and some ATC's with some Indigo blu stamps
and being green for the current challenge over at That Craft Place.
Yep at the back is the configuration that we did with Tim Holtz, and yes
I'm pulling it apart!!!! I never got anywhere near finishing, think I had problems
with it being a bit too grungy so all it's done is sat on a shelf all year.
I do follow Mr Holtz blog, and when thing he always believes in is that it's your
art and enjoy the journey, so I am in the middle of pulling apart to re do,
I'm planning on making it lighter and on a sewing theme. I am not
pulling apart the outside, I am keeping that as Mr Holtz signature is on it, maybe one day
I might make something with while preserving the signature.
So lots of playing, learning and enjoying the journey :-)
Hope you have a fantastic crafty week, enjoy, Happy woyww :-) Kerry xxx
