Creative Expressions June 2014 Blog Hop

Hi ya, a huge welcome to the Creative Expressions June 2014 Blog Hop! Hopefully you got here from Tracy's  blog, but if you didn't, here's the start at the Creative Expressions News Blog.
The four new large Frame stamps from Creative Expressions have been designed with co-ordinating mini frames inside, which can be used separately or as a whole and also swapped with other frame designs in the range. There are also an additional four mini frame designs, plus sentiment sets which have been designed to fit inside the various frames.
One randomly selected person commenting on this blog post before the closing date will win a fabulous prize of some of the new stamp designs.

I thoroughly loved working with these stamps, they are really large so great for a quick card, just stamp and go or they are so detailed and can be played around with for something a lot more intricate.  I decided to make a frame, a very large frame and a small canvas :-)

The frame I bought for 50p was dark wood and the board
had a large teddy print on it.  I sanded it slightly and painted the frame with two coats
of gesso.  Then I mixed Cosmic Shimmer Matt Chalk Paint Jade and White for a pale
layer with two coats.  Then I used Cosmic Shimmer Crackle and let it dry.  Then painted
over the top with Cosmic Shimmer Matt Chalk paint White.
I highlighted the edges with Creative Expressions Gilding Wax Enchanted Gold.

I painted some Creative Expressions Card Stock with Cosmic Shimmer Matt Chalk paint
in Persian Orange mixed with White, Blueberry Crush mixed with White and Jade Mint and White.
I stamped the Creative Expressions frames Garden Frame, Mini Frame Floral, Rose Frame and
Baroque Frame with Ranger Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer
True White Detail embossing powder.  I then around the frames within.  I then stamped and embossed
the sentiments on another piece of card stock and added to the back.
The flowers were die cut from the purple painted card stock with Creative Expressions
Finishing Touches Faux Quilled Blooms.

The teddy bear board was painted with gesso with two coats, then when
those were dried I painted a thick layer of gesso and added ripples with my
palette knife.  Then I painted with the mix of Cosmic Shimmer Chalk Paint Jade
Mint and White then added the Gilding Wax all over it to highlight the backing.

The canvas was painted with Cosmic Shimmer Matt Chalk paint Orchid and
then I added the Cosmic Shimmer Crackle Glaze over the top.  When that was dry
I mixed Tumberrose with White and painted over the top.
I used the Creative Expressions Single stamps Baroque Frame, Rose Frame and
Wire Work and stamped on some card that had been painted with Orchid with
Ranger Perfect Medium and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Black Detail embossing powder.
The sentiments were stamped on card stock that had been mixed as earlier
except I added a little bit more white into it and then embossed.
I cut the inside of the frames and cut more detail on the middle square.
I then edged all around with the Orchid Paint.
