Mojo Monthly - Flowers and Sunday Stamper works

Hi all, wow no post for days due to busy accounts then now there done 2 posts in one day lol.  I'm just in time for the Mojo Monthly, I just love what Sarah does and this month the designer interview is with Lin Brown and how exciting is it that I will actually meet Lin as I'm off to Arstycrafts in a week.  Also pop on over to mojo monthly as Sarah does some fab flower creations. I also want to enter it to the Sunday Stamper over on Ink on My Fingers, the challenge being Words, I have wanted to enter for awhile but not had anything inky enough lol.  I have wanted to do this altered book that I had seen in Craft Stamper early last year which was an altered book, I knew my PA at work would love it for her birthday which was the other day, last year I didn't do it as I didn't feel confident enough but this year I decided to have a go with some success :-).  I really love the tissue around the book which I coloured and stamped piles of random text stamps over it, I love the stamped flower, the handmade flower and the rips, but I'm disappointed with how flat the middle is, I really wanted to decoupage it but this stamps however way I tried it, just didn't look good decoupaged.

Close up of the stamped flower I wanted to decoupaged.

Lots of word stamps

The flower I learned from Hels as she was on Create and Craft over a week ago I actually tape it so I could make the flower as she was, but if you pop on her website she has a tutorial on there just check the sidebar.

Right I better be off, hopefully might have something for Friday after I have done my ATC's.  Thanks for visiting :-) Kezzy xxx

WOYWW 156

Hi all, it's Wednesday which means it's that time when all us crafters get together to share our desks, it's the 3rd anniversary of woyww and thanks to Julia for hosting this amazing idea, where ever she is even if she was on Mars she find's the time and the resources to give us the ability to share our addiction.  As it's the 3rd Birthday we are doing an ATC swap, I'm definitely in but I have to finish mine tonight and tomorrow so shall be sent tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning, I'm really sorry to my swap partner for this but as you all know the accounts have had me working horrible hours, BUT there done, there gone and apart from a couple of hours work tomorrow I have now got time off Yippey, I really want to apologise as I didn't manage to visit anyone last week because I seriously was working 24/7, having time off means I get to visit this week, I really do hate not getting to visit :-(.  I will have a couple of ATC's as I am also swapping with my last years woyww swap partner Wipso aka Annie and maybe if anyone else is swapping extras :-)
My desk is a complete mess, while working I had some DT cards to do over the week and my book to finish but had no time to clear between projects.

As you can see dumping desk is well dumped!!!!

I had to have the book finished this morning,
I'm rather disappointed as I spent
a lot of time trying to decoupage the stamped flower
in the middle, but what ever medium I used
it looked awful so instead I used a hand made
flower.  I shall be putting the book on a post in a bit.

Right I shall be off,  find out who I get to swap with :-), I hope everyone as a fantastic bank holiday weekend, I shall be here next Wednesday just before I go to Arstycrafts, anybody out there going???? so next week I will be really really excited.  A huge thanks for visiting :-) Kezzy xxx

That Craft Place - Trees & Nature and Frilly and Funkie - Stencils and Masks

Good morning, hope your having a gorgeous sunny morning, yep I'm at the computer still working lol, roll on Wednesday.  I have popped on to show my DT card for our new challenge over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog which is Trees & Nature, I also want to enter my card into the current challenge over at Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog which is Stencils and Masks.  At the Craft Place we are being sponsored by Indigo Blu for this challenge, wish I could enter lol!!!  I really got into the Trees and Nature challenge by using leaves as mask for my backing ...............

As you can see with the above pictures it made a gorgeous backing, when I had cut it up for my card I also added some stencilling with some flower sequin waste.

I also took another picture with the light reflecting off it, it really does show the nature side, it's lovely what the sun can do.

I would say the only think I'm not happy about is the sentiment, I reckon it gets lost a bit, but that's how I learn lol.  So why don't you have a go at our Trees & Nature challenge, also the DT will be popping some more inspiration on our That Craft Place Shop Blog, I shall have a altered book going on there in a couple of days :-).  Hope you all have a fantastic crafty week, enjoy your Sunday, I may not be around for the next couple of days due to work work work, but they have to be sent Wednesday so I shall be back to lots of crafting and it's only 11 sleeps until I leave to go to artsycrafts a craft retreat and 3 nights in a hotel plus 3 full days of gorgeous inky, stampy crafting by Paperartsy.  Thanks for visiting :-) Kezzy xxx

2 Sisters Challenge Blog - Bring on the boys and Charisma Cardz Challenges - No Flowers Allowed

Hi all, I'm so sorry that I haven't been around much this week, I am in the middle of accounts that have to be signed off by next Wednesday and sent to Companies House so I'm working day and night, with being poorly with my back I'm really behind, I'm even working at the moment :-(  But after these are done next Wednesday, I will have done so many hours that I shall be able to spend around 10 days only doing 2 hours a day plus time off so yippey.
Right it's Saturday which means it's time for my DT card for the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog challenge which this week is Bring on the boys (no girl images allowed)  and we are being sponsored by The Digi Garden.  I have to admit I quite like this card even though it took me only an hour to do as I needed to carry on with work, it's quite plain but it looks not too bad so I would like to enter it into the challenge over at Charisma Cardz Challenge Blog which is No Flowers Allowed.

Ok looking at it now it probably could have done with a bit more too it but hey ho we learn lol.  I shall be back tomorrow with another DT card so see you then.  Hope you have a fantastic crafty week. thanks for visiting :-)

WOYWW 155

Hi all, it's Wednesday which means that it has to be the day where everyone gets together to show what they are up to and the hostess (who shall be hosting a beautiful tan in a couple of weeks when back from hols) is the amazing Julia.  It's morning, I'm early for once yippey, and I'm planning on being quick (for once) as I really need to get on with some work (dreaded accounts which have to be sent next Wednesday at latest!!!).  I am slowly starting to feel better, I'm not sure having to do so much work on a computer is helping but the pain in my back is alot better then it was Friday.  Crafting in the evenings is the only thing keep me sane or I would be thinking numbers all the time lol, and you can see that at last I'm back to crafting when you see the state of the floor and my desks lol.

My spray box and lots of ripped pages on floor,
well I am supposed to be resting so
instead of getting up to go to bin I just chuck on floor!!!
Ok that is no excuse as I have a green bag next to me lol

Dumping desk, I am actually being good and after each
project I clean it all up, not sure how long
that will last lol.

I'm hoping to finish the altered book I'm working on in the
next few days, it's for a work mates birthday, I still have
flowers etc to paint (H20's) and flowers to make
(just got the accents of art studio 490 stamps), flowers
are this months Mojo monthly and this is the
project I'm wanting to enter,

Ok it's not quite the short post I was hoping for lol, I shall be off, work calls yuk, problem with working from home is sometimes I can get side tracked, but this week I really can't do that, each hour in the day needs to be accounted (get it accounts work accounted for!!!! lol ok that's awful, you can tell I'm still on some decent painkillers lol).  So next week is the big week, I shall be starting my ATC's after this project and I am hoping to make a few, one for my woyww swap and then some more for if anyone else wants to swap.  A big thank you for all the support over the last few weeks while I have been unwell, I have really appreciated every comment. Hope you have a fabby crafty week, thanks for stopping by :-) Hugs Kerry xxx

2 Sisters Challenge Blog showcase Wednesday and Creative Card Crew - Dimension

Hi all, it's Wednesday and time for me to show some more inspiration for our current challenge over at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog which is Stars.  I would like to enter my card into the challenge over at Creative Card Crew challenge blog which is Dimension.  I went with a western theme for my card as the image I decided to use seemed very western like even though it was a dog!!!  I certainly added lots of dimension on this card, I really love adding depth but sometimes if you have to post your card you need it flatter, well this card wasn't actually made for anyone so I could go to town as they say lol.  The background is a faux wooden technique, I used manilla card stock (cheap manilla folders), then I used butterscotch, latte, espresso and snowcap swiping them over the card in that order, next I added the lines and dots then embossed it with Tim Holtz burlop embossing folder.

Right I better go, I want to do my woyww post next before getting on with some work yuk.  Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx

Right I better go, the evenings always seem to be when you feel the pain worse lol, mind you I am determined that this week I shall be crafting more.  Hope you have a fab crafty week, thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx

WOYWW 154

Hi all, hope your all ok and having a fab week.  Just quickly popping on to show my sofa craft and craft desk, wondering what I'm on about then pop on over to Julia's Blog and join in with the Wednesday craze lol.  I'm really sorry I didn't get around many desks last week as I was trying to sort out for this weeks resting period.  I'm feeling really rough as they had a few hiccups with one of the injections on Monday so I can't move very well, but it will be worth it soon lol.  I wanted to put this up early as the rest of the day I shall be sofa crafting and blog hopping looking at desks, such a hard life lol!!!  Mind you it is annoying when you can't do much for 5 days and your relying on a Man and one 13 old lad and a really really helpful 15 year old daughter, poor thing I think she is realising men don't quite know how to cope with women's work lol lol lol.

Sofa crafting, sorting out promarkers, colouring, and reading mags.

Left over stamps after preparing colouring on Sunday for
sofa craft.  The tag is what I made last night on sofa, I asked
OH to grab a few bits, what he bought down I didn't think
I could do anything with as it was very mismatched, but
it's amazing what crafter's can do with a bit of stash lol

Right I really need to go as I'm feeling like I really need to sit, not sure I should have struggled putting washing out doh!!!  I will be around visiting desk today on my tablet/ipady thingy, so be AWARE if the commenting is coming out with spelling mistakes or sounds like a load of blah blah blah, the 1. I'm on really decent pain relief and 2. my fingers seems to go faster then the tablet thingy which means lots of letters can get missed out, love it and it's great for browsing, but for typing on the screen, my fingers seem to be monsters compared to the letters on screen that you have to press lol.  I'm going as I'm waffling.........
Thanks for looking, happy woyww :-) Kezzy xxx

2 Sisters Challenge Blog

Hi, just popping on to show a tag for this weeks showcase Wednesday for 2 Sisters Challenge Blog whose current challenge is Make it Girly.  Still feeling rough so being quick, I made a tag while sofa crafting, I asked OH to nip upstairs and bring a few purple bits down, didn't think I could make anything with what he chose but I guess it's amazing what crafters can make lol.

Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx

Belli Challenge - Baby/New arrival and Everybody Art Challenge - Baby

Hi all, just popping on to show you a baby card I made for a mate who's mate just had a baby phew that sentence seemed difficult lol. She loves simple but modern so this card didn't take very long, I printed onto bazzill white card stock the Baby Girl and baby's details, added a bow with a dummy charm, it still needed something else so I rooted through my embellishment box, I don't often go in there seems now I stamped but it was lovely finding all these bits and bobs and we finally chose a cute lamb (I have just taken a picture of the box of forgotten embellishments so you can see).  I would like to enter my card into the following challenges Belli Challenge Blog and Everybody Art Challenge, Belli challenge is forgotten embellishments baby/new arrival and Everybody Art is baby.  So now for my card .................

Box of forgotten embellishments............

That Craft Place Challenge Blog and Polka Doodles both Monochromatic

Hi all, it's time for another challenge over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog and the challenge is Monochromatic and we are being sponsored by Indigo Blu.  I also would like to enter my DT card into the challenge over at Polka Doodles Challenge Blog which is also Monochromatic.  I have been rather interested lately about Polka Doodles, Nikki who owns it Wow have you seen her on Create and Craft with Promarkers, she really is inspirational and next week its a letraset four day deal, as you know I'm in hospital on Monday but I'm going to be taping them all and while I'm resting I am planning on having my promarkers out on the sofa watching Nikki.  She also does a design feature in  Simply Cards and Papercraft and it's this article that helped me with my first Monochromatic card, so while I was commenting for my DT I found out that polka doodle has a challenge blog so I felt it fitting that I added my card on there seems her article helped me through.  And of course as you know I love being on That Craft Place Design Team and all the details are on the side bar :-).

Allsorts Challenge Blog - Man or Boy and Craft-room Challenge Blog - Emboss It.

Hi, wow back so quickly lol.  Well our current challenge One for the boys over at That Craft Place is just about to finish, and as you know the DT can put inspiration cards on to the shop blog, I had done this card for the shop blog but still hadn't popped it on here as I was so busy.  Good job I did as the challenge would nearly be over if I had done it now lol, that wouldn't be good for inspiration, I would be saying here's the card now go make within an hour lol.
I would like to enter my card in the challenges over at Allsorts Challenge Blog and Craft room Challenge Blog, the allsorts challenge is Man or Boy and the craft room challenge is Emboss It (I used heat embossing for starts, I embossed the back of the rockets to give texture and I used texture paste)

I have to admit, I'm not sure I like it, but I am pleased with my moon lol, the starts are quite faded in places but this is because I mixed holographic embossing powder with white so it sparkles but you really can't see it well in a picture.  I imagined rockets advertising with banners like planes do here, yep think I'm finally going mad!!! Right I better be off, need to do my scheduled post for morning!!! and then tomorrow I shall pop the baby card I have done as well.  Hope you have a fantastic weekend, see you tomorrow, thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx

Recipe
Stamps - Woodware (space cadet)
Daler Rowney texture paste mixed with Paperartsy fresco paints little black dress (for the moon)
Dies - Spellbinders (grand circle, ribbon tags trio), Sizzix Tim Holtz (tattered banners)
Ranger glossy accents

Inkpads - Memento (tuxedo black), Archival (jet black) and Versamark

Mirror board, staples, wobbly eyes - stash
Bazzill and Stampin Up cardstock
Colouring - red, berry red, vanilla, blush, baby pink, orange, burnt orange, cocoa, cinnamon, cool grey 3,4,5), Flexmarkers (blue grey 3, cadet blue, sapphire), Triamarkers (CG01)

Hi all, wow I can't believe I'm late again lol, just been trying to make sure all DT work is done as I can't do anything next week after the procedure on my back.  I have 2 posts to do today and 2 tomorrow lol so I'm afraid you are getting them altogether, well 2 of them are just ones I have done for challenges.  Right I shall stop waffling and get on with it.  It's Saturday which means it's time to show my DT for 2 Sisters Challenge Blog and the challenge this week is Make it Girly, think this will be a popular one lol and we are being sponsored by Digi Doodle Shop and Kenny K digi stamps.  I'm also entering my card to I love promarkers Challenge Blog whose challenge this week is Hat pins and Charms.

I used an image from Digi Doodle Shop, it's not normally one I would choose, but I really enjoyed it, I made it large and it was great being able to bling it up, definitely would go for this girly image again. Right I better shoot off so I can do another post lol.  Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx

WOYWW 153

Hi all, I really can't believe I'm late again, I don't know what's wrong with me lol.  So it's Wednesday and that means it's woyww and time to show your desks with Julia as our wonderful weekly hostess and the great mind behind or Wednesday addiction :-)  I'm really having problems with mojo this last two weeks, I think this is because end of year accounts are due so I'm working silly hours even if it's from home and I have my injections finally on Monday.  This means a very busy few days trying to get to a point with work that I can have five days off, to be honest, think I shall be sofa working as well as sofa crafting lol.  I'm planning on stamping some images and take all my promarkers/flexmarkers down stairs and having some relaxing colouring practise and spending Monday evening and most of Tuesday visiting woywwer's as I really didn't get to see many last week.  It will be nice to chill and see what everyone is up to.  Right my desks .............................

I'm in the middle of a boy's space card, over at that craft challenge blog our
current challenge is one for the boys, and we also give inspiration during the
two weeks and boy I'm I having problems, lads cards are just not
working for me lol, mind you I'm pleased with my moon!!!
It's all ready to finish off so I shall be doing that in a moment.
The slip is from Rymans bright white card that I use for colouring
which is brilliant, so I have just finished a pack and I've left it there
say I can remember to get some more.  The girly stamps are free
from a magazine (which is downstairs or I would tell you which lol)

More yummy paper from a magazine that came this morning that
I'm looking through, my new summer promarkers, ribbon as I haven't
started sorting them out yet, the colourful large beads top left I won
in a giveaway from a jewellery magazine, my recipe bad that right down what
I'm using and other bits and bobs.

I'm not a gardener as you will see in a moment but for some reason these beautiful blue bells (I think), grow every year so I took a picture, please ignore the weeds, I also took a photo of our beautiful bush that blooms every year it's gorgeous, not sure what it is but hey ho lol.  I'm hoping that putting the pictures on here will make Mr weather man send sunshine this way lol I wish, I mean I'm not being picky, why can't someone turn on a switch at 9pm at night for rain and turn off in morning, job done!!!! Simples!!!!

Right I shall be off, I probably will be around number 155 again lol, hope you have a gorgeous, healthy, crafty week, and I'm hoping beyond hoping I will be able to contribute next week (if OH lets me get off sofa lol), it could be a sofa picture with colouring and work everywhere!!! Thanks for visiting :-) Kezzy xxx
