That Craft Place - One for the boys and Digital Tuesday - Winter Blues

Hi all, it's time for our fortnightly challenge over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog and the challenge for the next two weeks is One for the Boys and we are being sponsored by Crafters Companion.  I find boys cards quite difficult so this next two weeks will be a challenge for me as the DT post inspirations over at That Craft Place Shop Blog so I shall be having a go at some boy themes.  I have used a Kenny K digi stamp, the shop sells Kenny K rubber which I prefer but I didn't have this one so I decided to buy it digi and go large lol.  I have also used stamps from Indigo Blu and Creative Expressions, the alphabet stamps are banana frog which have now closed.  I am also entering my card over at digital Tuesday challenge blog and there challenge this week is Winter Blues, use blue or wintery theme.

Lots of distressing, black distress ink to add a bit of grunge around the edges, chipboard and grunge card alphas/numbers and arrows covered and inked and lots of splats from the indigo blu stamp.  Right I better go, I'm off to watch telly, doing the post Saturday evening or I will never get to the computer in the morning with Brad (who the card is for) wanting all his pressies.  Hope you have a fab sunday.
Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxxx

I'm also entering my card into the Ooh La La Challenge Blog and the challenge is Bright and Bold.  I found these challenges quite hard, I'm more of a soft not a bold black and red lol.

I used an image from The Digi Garden called Lucy.  The spotty paper is actually black and white but I coloured the dots red.  I used the white co-ordinations and embossed so you can see the black.  Right I shall be off, hope you have a fantastic crafty weekend.  I shall be back tomorrow for the challenge over at That Craft Place. Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx

WOYWW 151

Hi all, what a horrible wet, windy, nasty cold day, it's bad when all you want is stew, sofa and a blanket when May is a week away :-(.  Ok got that out feel better now lol.  Its Wednesday and that means WOYWWW which is hosted by Julia, pop on over and enter so we can see your crafty space :-).  Thank you all for your help with colouring, I got some great tips.  I also contacted Letraset and they were very helpful, they sent me an excel document which tells me the numbers in triamarkers that promarkers and flexmarkers are, which will allow me to buy the triamarker which is in between colours, just like the copic ciao and buy the more expensive copics in between. :-)
This weekend I got fed up of my dumping floor and desk as I wanted somewhere to put the sewing machine out, I did consider getting another table out, but if I kept doing that, my craft room would be an assult course!!!
The next two pics are of the clean desk (Monday pic) and the clean floor todays pic.

Still need some sorting :-)

Wednesday morning, still not too bad lol

Last nights card and bits upper right, card I'm doing
now, beads for top icecream, and my
new compendium curiosities 2
which I haven't looked at yet and I have had it
two days!!!!

Just ordered the new spring distress ink pads, they look fab.  Right I should go, I'm hoping to post another one tonight if I can get the ice cream card done lol.  Hope you have a fantastic crafty week.

WOYWW 150

Hi all, it's woyww and I'm late again, want to show your desk, wondering what the hype is about then pop on over to Julia's brilliant blog who brings us crafter's together. I'm late as I have spent this evening baking cupcakes with the kids, this is our first time we tried gluten free, all I can say is that, we didn't quite expect them to rise as much has they did, it looked like something from the horror film blog, trying to escape through the oven door!!!!  My desk hasn't changed much, just more bits on bobs on dumping desk and a pile of images I need to colour for various cards I need to do.  I'm trying to take my colouring further, now I am a promarker, flexmarker girl, I also have a tria marker which is a darker grey to do black hair.  I can't decide if I'm using my colours wrong or there is a limit to promarkers but I feel that the colours are not close enough to get a good blend.  I don't really want to try starting from beginning to collect copics, but wondering if I should start getting a few, especially the skin tones.  Also I see some fantastic colouring artists on woyww using pencils as well, now I have the full set of Faber-Castell polychromos pencils (in pic) and not sure how they do it.  So I would love if any woyww'ers could give me some tips :-). Right pictures

In my frustration, I have dumped my yellows and oranges
to see if I can work out good blending.  Think I might
have to put them back and leave that for another day
after I see what woywwers say, and also
I really have to get these images coloured :-)

Stamps that I'm using, new ribbon still out and a pile
of card blanks that I have spent the last
few days doing, for some DT work.

Right that's my photos, not much done, but a lot to do so hopefully a lot to show over the next few days. Hope you all have a fantastic crafty week. Sorry it was a long post, shall be told off oops sorry. Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx

WOYWW 148

Hi all, I'm really late today so I shall be mega quick.  I haven't been doing any crafting over the last few days as the kids are off, and I have been spending some time with them before they went off to their dads last night for a weeks holiday.  Today my sister and I spent time colouring each others hairs and have a girly day which was really good, I'm the financial manager of her and her co-workers company and sometimes we forget to spend time as sisters instead of work colleagues so this was a rare occasion.  My OH has now took time off so we can spend some time together as well, so apart from my DT work I probably will only end up doing a few posts this next week.  So my workdesk is between projects, I also had a clean up on Sunday so one desk is empty!!!! and the other has a few ideas lurking about.  If you would like to see some fantastic desks than pop on over to Julia's Blog and have a real nosey lol.

Wow not seen my work in progress desk this clean for awhile lol.  Hope you all have a fantastic week, also enjoy a hopefully decent day weather wise on Easter Sunday.  Thank you for looking :-) Kezzy xxx

That Craft Place Challenge - Spring and Crafts 4 Eternity - 3

Hi all, it seems to be a gorgeous day outside again but slightly cooler I guess April is known for it's showers lol.  As you probably know by now I'm on the That Craft Place Challenge Blog, it's a fortnightly challenge blog but also (all deets are on sidebar) Lisa the owner runs a shop (just opened in new premises yesterday) that is jam packed full of crafty yumminess, she also runs an online shop and has just started another blog showing inspiration from us the DT using stamps that she sells, also giving inspiration for the challenge blog.  I would really appreciate if sometime you could visit the Shop Blog as it's very new and it would be great if we could find more followers to look at all our DT work.  So this fortnight the challenge is 'All About Spring' which over here in the UK it's felt slightly more like summer last week, but it's supposed to snow next week!!! 20 degrees down to 0 degrees, not looking forward to that, so hopefully all our spring cards will cheer everyone up and a reminder what's to come lol, also please check on over to see the other DT's work deets on sidebar.  I am also going to enter my card into the challenge over at Crafts 4 Eternity which is 3, i.e 3 flowers, 3 photos, 3 embellishments etc.

Right I better get some washing in and tidy up a bit before coming back and have a clean in my craft room, seriously I have been dumping papers, stamps etc all over the place and not had time to put bits away.  Hope you have a gorgeous Sunday. Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx
