WOYWW 126

Hi to you all, today is Wednesday and I would say is the most exciting day of the week were we all like to share our crafty desks, this fantastic day is hosted by Julia, so why don't you pop over and join in. I'm afraid I didn't get around alot of crafters last week, one day it was Wednesday and the next 'oops' Wednesday again.  I have done crafting this week, been busy with dad's clock (posted on Monday), the Halloween candy (posted yesterday) and a birthday card (not posted yet), so quite a busy weekend crafting which I had finished all I had to do by yesterday evening, so I spent the evening cleaning up and getting ready for my next crafty project ( can't decide which one see below and would like to ask you all for some ideas lol), so pic of one tidy desk, then the desk again with a giveaway I have won, and a pic of crafty projects to start, so here goes ...... tidy desk ..........

I have won so many giveaways this last 6 weeks (12 to be exact) I have been so lucky.  One of the wins was stamps and beautiful sheets from Lili of the Valley and some gorgeous beads from a bead shop .......
My other desk (were bits tend to get dumped lol) are my crafty projects I want to start, but not sure which to start.  The vase and the glass pebbles are for my mates birthday, I would like to do some paper flowers and I'm thinking of decorating a candle for my sister.  My new distress inks I pre-ordered ages ago, which arrived this week, more giveaways - rose brads, more beads and candy which look like brads.  I have some polystyrene decorations but can't decide what to do, I have seen sequins and pins (hence the sequins out) but I would like to do something different but not sure what to do, so hoping for some ideas from everyone, so if you have an idea that could help me please please comment or email and let me know.
Hope you all have a fantastic crafty week, also I would like to say thank you for some lovely comments everyone is leaving me, I really do appreciate it and make sure I visit back, only problem this week I'm very very late lol.  Thank you for all the new followers, each follower I have, gives me such a lovely happy feeling and is really starting to give me confidence in my craft which is such a special feeling so a big thank you.
Thanks for sharing. Kezzy xxx

Lucky you to have won so many gorgeous goodies!
At my local craft club, we have a lovely lady who cuts out tiny 1" squares of fabric, folds them in half and half again to make a 1/4" square... and then she pins them onto orbs or oval polystyrene shapes - starting at the top with the nice edges of the square facing upwards, and covering each oval/orb layer by layer. The ovals end up looking a little like fir cones... they are so beautiful - and it uses a lot of her scrap material too. I would think that you could use this technique to cover ANY shape.
Anyways... have a wonderful and productive WOYWW!

WOW ...how lucky are you???? I think you will have such fun making your decorations ...I wonder which will be made first ...the wreath maybe .... You could stud some of the small balls with cloves and citrus peel on a hair pin ...and then put them into the wreath amongst bows and bits.Have fun xx

Pass the smelling salts, I feel all faint at the sight of such an incredibly tidy desk!! Lol, I love seeing mine like that too as I had a massive clear-up this weekend :)
Julia was looking for a polystyrene ring yesterday but to no avail so there's a good home if you can't think what to do with it!!

My wreath I made was already wreath in wood like material and then just decorated that - my sister sdid a foam ball in various Christmas materials sectioned off (similar in colours but repeating different patterns with lace Ribbon in between so maybe you can do something like that. Shaz in Oz.x

What an amazing amount of wins recently!! Do you have a flower die, like the Marianne English Rose? You could make a kissing ball out of the balls, stick of pin the flowers all over the ball, fill in the gaps with ribbon curls perhaps.

Well done with all your wins. I do love that "tidy desk" stage when you're about to start a new project! Mine's a mess this week, through neglect and being used as a dumping ground... As for decorating those things, if I had them, I think I'd put gesso or joint compound on them and impress some texture, then seal with gel medium and paint with different iridescent and metallic acrylics, add some bling, hang up and decorate the place! (I've got some of those polystyrene balls, so I might even give it a try myself!!) Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #67

Congratulations on being on such a winning streak, Kezzy, hope you've bought a lottery ticket :) Love all your goodies and look forward to what you get up to with all those polystyrene shapes. I see lots of suggestions have been made already so you won't be short of ideas. With you on the amount of encouragement received from our fellow WOYWWers, followers and fellow bloggers - you can't put a price on it. Have a great crafting week. Elizabethx #59
