Hi to all your woyww's. I'm afraid I'm a bit late today so I shall make it quick. I have loads to tell you all but I've not been able to blog as we have been messing around with our network at home and lost the internet for a bit, so I have enough photos to blog for the next week LOL. I'm back down to just two desks this week lol, on my first desk is my sewing machine which I still need the instruction booklet to work out how to thread, and with my sons help (only 11) we got it threaded up and at last I sewed on paper hurray, i've spent so much time looking on you tube and blogs to see if I needed new needles etc and today I thought, thats it I'm just going to do it and it worked. I think all my cards will now have sewing on LOL LOL LOL
The above picture shows my second desk, I'm entering a challenge and want to use my stampin up stamps, which come unmounted but provide you with the wooden blocks to put them on but I can't decided if to leave them off the wooden blocks or put them on, has anyone tried using them off the wooden block? any ideas!!!!!
If your wondering what I'm on about check out Julia's and check out all the wonderful crafty desks out there.
See you all tomorrow, hope you have a fab week.

Did you need new needles???

Hi Kezzy. Glad you got your machine working. I think sewing looks lovely on cards but have never tried it. Your new stamps look gorgeous, but haven't seen them before. Donna
I am on the Splitcoast Stampers forum, and I know a lot of ladies on there use there Stampin up stamps unmounted, to save on storage space. You have a couple of options, either, use e-zmount/klingon/u-mount foam backing to put on your u/m stamps, then they cling to acrylic blocks, and this is my preferred method. Or you can buy Repositional spray glue( Crafters Companion do one) which you spray on the back of the stamp, then it will hold onto the acrylic block.I believe glue sticks will also work. Comes down to personal choice, I think. HTH, Shaz #122. PS, DO NOT soak stamps to remove them from blocks- a few seconds in the microwave melts the glue.
Forgot to say, if you don't use the wood blocks for your stamps, they make great ink applicators/alcohol ink applicators if you stick some velcro to them with DST :)
Your sewing machine looks very posh. I have a hand me down that was my Grandma's but it's so heavy it rarely comes out from under the stairs.
I've always mounted my Stampin Up stamps. It's seems a shame not to when they come with such lovely blocks but I do use glue stick for other stamps when I haven't got them mounted on u mount. I find the glue wipes off fine with a baby wipe.

Hey Kezzy,
Thanks for stopping by and answering my question re needle.
The boxes are from a book that has all gift boxes in, those ones I have already made up and there are still loads in the book to make up. They are made from good quality card too (printed).
They are actually in my rehoming pile so let me know if you are interested and I can let you know how many are made up and have many are left in the book. I only want a couple of quid for them.

Hi there Kezzy,
I use all my new Stampin Up ones unmounted and use Ez mount on them heaps less space and the wood blocks aren't needed once you put Ez mount on them you just use them on acrylic blocks to fit like all your stamps which are unmounted I have heaps done like that no worries and one S.U. set I decided to sell on eBay which I had mounted on Ez mount went for higher price than a brand new set same sort with no Ez mount at same time.. hope it helps..
Happy WOYWW!! sorry am late my internet went down! better late than never!

I'm thinking I may need a sewing machine. Not tried using my stamps off the blocks. Sorry, not able to help you there. TFS
Crikey Kezzy, I have enough trouble keeping just one desk tidy, let alone two!
Your sewing machine looks the biz…..me; I can’t sew a straight line.
Thanks for sharing on WOYWW.

Very nice. I have taken all my stamps off the blocks and when I get new ones in I just put them on the Thin EZMount stuff from Sunday International. Sorry I am so late making it around but last week was very busy. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #162
I'm glad you got your sewing machine working! I love how cards look with some sewing on them but I don't have a machine. Lots of lovely new stash you got there!
Thanks for visiting me!

I love the idea of the saved storage in having stamps with out the wood, but I do lov my wooden stamps, some people even boil them off the wood, don't think I could ever do that! Very busy desk,Thanks for the snoop!!
