Poppy Canvas

Good evening, how are you all today?  I go into hospital for steroid injections tomorrow so I shall be having a weekend of rest but I shall definitely have something crafty by my side lol.  In November I took a class at Indigo Blu with the amazing talented artist Jenny Marples and we did this lovely grungy canvas.  She was a fantastic teacher and I discussed about adding more to the background and she was really supportive and wanted to see it when I finished it.  Everything is the same apart from the circles, lines over the circles, script stamp and shading on the flowers.  As always the products I used are at the bottom of the page :-).
I would like to enter the following challenges :-
Altered Eclectics Challenge - Anything Goes Mixed Media/Altered Art
Oddball Art Stamp Challenge - Lots of Layers (layers are black paint, white paint, drippage, texture paste, mega flakes)
Anything But A Card Creations Challenge - Facebook Group

I love the background, lots of grungy texture.

Right I better be off, it might be a few days before I am back again, but if I can I might pop something on in the morning.  Thank you so much for taking the time to visit.
Happy Art :-)

Non Traditional Postcard

Good evening, back again with another Christmas theme creation and today I am showing a postcard I did for a swap, the theme being use No Christmas Stamps.  I have to admit I found it hard trying to keep to not adding lots of embellishments that might fall off, or going for lots of texture which I love. All products used are at the bottom of the page and I also did a step by step of the background :-).
I would like to enter the following challenges :-
Let's Craft and Create Challenge - Christmas
Mixed Media World - Anything Goes
Anything But Cute Challenge - You Have Mail (this is a postcard)
Crafting By Design Challenge - Anything Goes
Make My Monday Challenge - White Christmas

I used the Tim Holtz Crazy Things Stamps for the hats,
and because I also needed non traditional I used a witches and birthday hats.
To make them fit I stamped them and then cut them down slightly.

For the background I used Cotman Watercolour Postcards and used
a cut out circle and Clarity mountains for masks. Then I added lots of blue paints.
The colours I used are at the bottom of the post.

I used a sponge to dab the colours on to give some texture to the postcard.

For shimmer I used water colours Twinkling H20's, I sprinkled them on and
then dabbed again.

When the masks where used I painted the moon and snow white.

To give a stormy sky I used paint on some areas of the moon.

The snow was made up of puff paint and sparkle texture.

Right that's all for today, see you again tomorrow.  Thank you so much for visiting.

Happy Art :-)
