Creative Expressions - Happy Easter

Hi ya, hope your all well. At last after sending some samples off today I am caught up :-) which means I get a week of playing, so hopefully I will be posting a bit more, thank you all for your patience.  It's Monday so it's time for my weekly creation for the Creative Expressions Blog and this week I have been playing with two of Sue Wilsons stamps which are corners and borders (scent corner and scent border).  I'm afraid my step by step is quite short (your probably relieved lol) but I was completely in the zone and forgot to take pics (oops).  As usual I will highlight all the products from Creative Expressions :-).

The corner I used to make the Easter Eggs.  I don't normally use
border stamps but I have to admit I have fallen in love with this stamp :-)

And now for the shortest step by step I have ever done lol ................................

I used Creative Expressions Coconut Card and stamped Creative Expressions
Sue Wilson Scent Corner in an oval shape (corner at top and bottom for each
egg) with Ranger Perfect Medium, then I embossed with Cosmic Shimmer
Detail True White Embossing Powder.  I also stamped the Creative Expressions
Sue Wilson Scent Border lining it up twice to get a long border using the
perfect medium and white embossing powder.
I then inked over each egg and each border with Distress Inks Mustard Seed,
Spiced Marmalade and Shabby Shutters.  I then spritzed Cosmic Shimmer Mist in
Pearl over the yellow, Rich Gold over the orange and Golden Mint over the green.
I then cut the eggs with Spellbinders Classic Oval Large die and the borders with
Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Bracket.

I used some White Seam Binding and used the colours from above, by
pouncing the inkpad on the non stick mat and spraying with the cosmic shimmer
sprays and water, as it is I only used the orange ribbon in the end :-)

While they were drying I used Adirondack Alcohol Ink ink Lemonade, Pesto
and Peach Bellini to colour some Creative Expressions White Gems and Creative
Expressions Finishing Touches Small Circle Dazzlers.  I then took some
Creative Expressions Coconut Card for matting and used Distress Ink Pad Spiced Marmalade
to colour the edges that would be seen.  I took some Idea-ology Chit Chat Stickers
and coloured the edges with the same colour.  I cut some card with the
Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio, edged with the orange and added the
chit chat stickers.

Right that's it for me today, hope you manage some crafting today and I shall be back tomorrow when I have finished some of my half done projects lol.
Happy Crafting :-)

Creative Expressions - Life Treasures

Hi ya, how are you all?  Sorry I haven't been around much, I have lots to show, but now allowed to lol and everything has to be done by Friday, so after that I get lots of weeks to play play play, which is good seems I have loads of unfinished projects that need finishing touches lol.  Anyway it's Monday which means it's time for my creation fo the Creative Expressions Blog and this week I have been playing with another one of Sue Wilson's stamps called Thank You.  It's like last weeks but this time I only used the bottom half of the stamp.  As always I shall highlight all the products from Creative Expressions :-).

I really love the new crackle glaze and matt chalk paint and
I really have fell in love with this Jade Mint.

Lots of close ups :-)

And now for the step by step ................................

I used a Creative Expressions MDF Wall Panel, the new Cosmic Shimmer
Crackle Glaze, Cosmic Shimmer Paint Green Aqua and the new Cosmic Shimmer
Matt Chalk Paint Jade Mint.

I coated the wall panel with two coats of the shimmer paint.

Then using my finger I applied the crackle glaze only to the top of the panel.

When this was dry I covered the sides with masking tape and added the
matt chalk paint.

I also cut a piece of chipboard and added the matt paint.

Next I used Creative Expressions Coconut Card Stock and stamped
the Sue Wilson Stamp Thank You (only the bottom half) with
Archival Jet Black three times.  I then heat set and started
watercolouring with the Adirondack Raspberry and Bottle inkpads.

I then cut out the flowers in sections for decoupage and went around
the edges with the ink pads that I used for water colouring.

To give some depth I then used Faber Castell Polychromas - crimson and cobalt green.

I stamped the image on the panel from earlier (you can see my test sample here as well lol)
and used Creative Expressions Adhesive Sheet and Creative Expressions Micro Beads.

I went around the edges with Creative Expressions Gilding Wax Patina and Enchanted Gold.

Oops I forgot to take a photo of me doing the decoupage.
Next I used the flower stamps from Creative Expressions Funky Floral
and stamped on Creative Expressions Teresa Collins Patterned Paper with
Archival jet black and then coloured them with the Adirondack Raspberry
and Bottle inkpads.

Next I used Distress Stickles with Cosmic Shimmer Jewels Iced Snow and
covered the edges of the flowers.

I used Adirondack Alcohol Ink Wild Plum to cover some Creative Expressions
Finishing Touches Tulle, Pearl String and Small Circle Dazzles and I also
coloured Creative Expressions Pins and Clear Sparkles.

I painted a piece of card stock with the Matt Paint from earlier and
cut it out with Spellbinders Labels 13 and then used Adirondack Bottle to shade
into the middle.  Then I cut my word stamps (I usually do so I can fit them
where I want them) from Creative Expressions Whimsical Floral stamp set
with Archival jet black.

I highlighted a Creative Expressions Metal Dazzler Setting with
Creative Expressions Gilding Wax Patina.

I used the gilding waxes from earlier for the edges, I then stamped with
the stamp from Creative Expressions Textures with Archival Viridian ink pad
randomly over the panel, then I splashed Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Ink Forest Green
over it as well.

Right I shall be off, hope you have enjoyed the step by step and I hope you have a fantastic crafty Monday.
Happy Crafting :-)

Creative Expressions - Get Well Soon

Hi ya, how are you all?  I hope your having a fabulous start to the week :-).  It's time for me to share this weeks creation for Creative Expressions Blog which is a card!!!  I know I don't do cards lol, but sometimes a particular stamp screams 'put me on a card' and I have no choice but to oblige lol.  But to be honest I can't decide if I like it or not, I was going for a larger card but it just didn't look right, so I went for a smaller one which I'm not sure about either.  But one thing is for sure, the stamp I used is absolutely gorgeous, it's one of Sue Wilson's single stamps called Get Well Soon and I'm sure this would cheer anybody up who it feeling under the weather.  As usual I shall highlight all the Creative Expressions products :-)

I'm afraid that the card was really hard to get a decent
picture because of the iridescent background :-(
Maybe one day technology will allow us to 3D scan it and then
zap it over to the viewers who can really see the real thing and
also have a touchy feel session as I love texture or super
smooth like this card.  Ok I obviously need more sleep lol.

NOTE - Just tried taking better pictures -

I forgot to take a picture while doing the flower.  I used
Creative Expressions Sheer Iridescent Ribbon lilac/blue with Creative
Expressions Bakers Twine (pastel set) and I coloured a
Creative Expressions Clear Sparkles embellishment with Adirondack Alcohol
ink Purple Twilight.

You can see how the Distress inks have picked up the mica from
the sprays we made (see step by step)

And now for the Step by Step (short one this week lol)  ..........................

I made up two spray with water and two scoops of Cosmic Shimmer
Iridescent Mica Pigments Violet Frost and Tropic Blue and
then sprayed a piece of Creative Expressions Cardstock which
takes water brilliantly :-)

I wanted quite a pale look as I was adding distress inks on top.

Next I used Distress Ink Pads Tumbled Glass and Dusty Concord through
a That Special Touch Mask Delicate.

I started with the blue and then went with the purple.  I then
went back over with blue in places giving that blue/lilac look.

You can see how the distress inks grab the mica from beneath.
Next colour the edges with both distress inks.

Next use Creative Expressions Cardstock and stamp Creative Expressions
Sue Wilson Get Well Soon stamp with Archival Jet Black Inkpad.
I also inked up the wording and stamped on the background,
yet again I forgot to take a picture oops.  I then painted
with the distress inks we used for the background.

When the background was dry I backed it with Creative Expressions
Purple Cardstock, I then used the new Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture
Paste Aurora and painted on a thin layer, obviously it was a bit thick for a thin
layer so I used Cosmic Shimmer Clear Varnish Lacquer to spread
it out.

Right that is it for me today, I know such a small step by step, I think it's the first time I have managed to write it up within 30 mins lol.  Hope your day continues to me amazing and hope you get to do some crafting.
Happy Crafting :-)

Sneak Peak - Unruly Paperarts

Hi all, sorry I haven't been around much this week or the last few weeks, I suffer from sinus quite a bit and over the last month it has attacked with a vengeance, it's supposedly due to that bad flu/bronchitis I had through January and beginning of February, according to the doctor I have chronic sinus, and because I already suffer facial migraines due to bad allergies and sinus it's not fantastic.  So I have lots and lots of unfinished projects that I'm determined to get through.  I also have to try and re think my craft room, I suffer dust mites and dust and my craft room isn't the tidiest as you all know, errr well that doesn't help lol lol.

Anyway this month over at Unruly Paperarts it's all about Borders.  Now I have to admit I signed up for this and then had a sudden thought, I never do borders as I never seem to know what to do lol.  Well it was brilliant having a play and if you pop on over there today you will see how I changed some tags by making borders using stencils and doodling :-)

Also don't forget, we are all about stamping, painty and messy online magazine so you always get loads of ideas, we also do a challenge every month called the Readers Art Quest and this months inspiration is -

So why don't you join in, or how about learning lots of different border ideas, we have it all over at Unruly Paperarts :-)

And now for my sneak peak :-)

Right I better be off, I am in the craft room this evening so enjoying it :-)  Hope you all have a crafty weekend.
Happy Crafting :-)
Kezzy :-)
