2 Sisters Challenge Blog - colour theme and Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes

Hi all, it's Saturday which means it's time for my DT card for 2 Sisters Challenge Blog, the challenge this week is Red, White, Blue with some Glitter/bling, we are being sponsored by 5 companies so lots of prizes.  I can't believe it, this is my last post for the 2 Sisters, amazing how 6 months can fly so quickly, I would like to say a bit Thank you to Stacy and Mary giving me a chance to be on my very first design team, it has been a wonderful experience.
I would also like to enter my card into the challenge over at The Charisma Cardz Challenge Blog which is Anything Goes.
I am so not happy with this card, for some reason when I use digi stamps, even though I use a laserjet printer when I blend my pro/flex marker it can smudge and you can guarantee it's across the face, I didn't have time to make another one so it looks like she has a dirty face lol.  If anybody has any ideas I would appreciate it :-)

Oh my goodness,  I didn't finish this until late last night, I have re took a picture just now as the one on the 2 Sisters looks really dark, but you can tell how tired I was last night, I thought I had used the friendship pick a flower but I have just read it and it's the lovey dovey one Ooops LOL LOL

Right I shall be off, hope you all have a fantastic crafty weekend, thanks for visiting :-) Kerry xxx

Mojo Monthly - All about Men

Hi all, can't believe I did this for my Dad's birthday on 5th June (still got the hot glue gun burn!!!) and I haven't shown you all yet lol.  My inspiration came from Hels article in the May 2012 Craft Stamper and of course I wanted to try something new for Mojo Monthly as I really like to do new techniques for it.  Sarah who does Mojo Monthly has just had a gorgeous baby called Ruby so a big congratulations to the proud parents.

I had both these house frames from paperartsy that I bought about 3 years ago from the NEC, I followed Hels instructions with the frame using black dabber, then got OH to give it a good sand, then used walnut distress inkpad over it.  The background used manilla cardstock with distress inkpads and lots of stamping, think you can see the rest lol.  I am really proud of myself and my Dad loved it, it certainly gave me confidence to keep trying new things.

Thanks for visiting :-) hugs Kerry xxx

WOYWW 160

Hi all, it's Wednesday which can only mean one thing, my weekly obsession - Woyww which is hosted by the amazing Julia, pop on over, have a go and share your crafty retreat with us all :-)
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who left such wonderful, uplifting comments, I cried reading them, I was overwhelmed at such kindness, so a big thank you, I promise I will visit everyone and say a thank you, over this next week, I'm afraid I didn't get to comment much back as we have had a really bad week with my son, but I should receive the visit from the support worker any time now, also the doctor has forwarded him to a paediatrician and the school is also working with me now as well.

Right I shall show my desk before I become a blubbering wreck!!! Not much happening, I'm struggling a bit with my mojo, but I am finding doing colouring helps, the card on my desk is a DT piece that I just shown on the previous post.

I really enjoying sewing fabrics on cards etc, I have just read
this months craft stamper (how bad is that) and I love Helen Chiltons
masterclass glossy card, she uses masking fluid so
I bought some the other day from an local art shop (hidden behind smash book)
and got the easel for £3.50 bargain I think/hope lol.
The smash book I won from a magazine giveaway :-)

As you may guess a circus theme going on, I really enjoyed
creating this, simple, fun and relazing

And a little pic of finished circus card :-)
Right I better go, think we will have a quiet evening hopefully as I have invoices to finish, as you know I work from home, but with everything going off my working hours have been all over the place, I guess the good news is I am able to do less hours due to hours owed to me, so I guess it's not all bad lol.
Hope you all have a fantastic crafty week, thank you all so much for visiting, happy woyww :-) Kerry xxx

WOYWW 159

Hi all, it's Wednesday which can only mean it's time for everyone to show their desks and of course we all meet at the famous Julia's.  I wasn't going to do it today, as I've been having a bit of a tough time at the moment, but I guess I'm just addicted to it!!!!  It's a bit embarrassing, but for the last 8 months I have been having problems with my son who has just turned 13, to be honest it's been going on longer but it surfaced around then, he started nicking etc for food, he is over weight but the way he has been has been almost a needing problem, he also has been having these really violent mood swings where he chucks things about, screams horrible things etc and then is fine and almost doesn't understand why he did it.  It's really taking it's toll on all of us especially my daughter who is 15.  In the end I have had to ask for help, I got a letter a few days ago that we will be getting help from a support worker to work with us as a family.  I also have had him at the doctors whose doing blood tests for glucose etc for the amount of sugar he is needing, also to help access and make sure that he isn't going through this because of an illness.  The last few weeks while asking for help, I have been shying away from crafting but now am starting back into it, one thing that help me through was colouring so now I have all these images to make cards with.  I felt like I was failing as a mother by asking for help, but in the end my very very best mate told me I needed to get professional help, it's been heart breaking and not sure why I feel like I need to share with you all, and many of you may look down on me but hopefully if anyone is going through the same they will feel like they can ask for help.

Right I shall be quick with pictures, last night I finally did a card (posted earlier) so the mess is from that, also stamps on working desk is my plans for a DT piece

On left hand side is a gorgeous ATC I received, I need
to go thanking and will take better pic for you all, but
it really picked me up today, also some gorgeous
cute mini stamps with the ATC, all from
Canada.

Found that we had a fabric shop nearby so
I went to have a look, they have bargain buckets where
scraps and display fabric you can buy, all that you can
see cost £4!!!

I would like to say a bit thank you and welcome to all my followers and I am trying to get around to you all, also I have visited some woywwer's but was rather late, so still got some catch up to do!!!
Thank you for taking the time to visit, Happy woyww :-) Hugs Kerry xxx

Hi, it's Wednesday which means its time to showcase our current challenge over at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog which is Plaid and/or Stripes, I also would like to enter my card into the Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog and the challenge is Bingo shown below.  I really enjoyed doing this card, while away at the craft retreat I learned alot more about sewing in craft and I think I am becoming addicted to sewing on my cards plus adding fabric lol.

2 Sisters Challenge Blog - Plaid or strips and Papertake Weekly - 3, 2, 1

Hi all, what happened to Friday and Saturday!!!! I was supposed to post this yesterday oops.  It's time for a new challenge over at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog which is Plaid and/or stripes and we are being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish.  I would like to enter my card into the challenge over at Papertake Weekly which is 3,2,1.  I really wanted to have a go at this as it seemed interesting, my problem was deciding which should be 3,2,1!!!! lol, my card has 1 image, 1 keyring reason I added a keyring as the 1 is the image I added sea at the bottom and I thought that might count as two, oh and of course the keyring looked great on it, I used 2 patterned papers and 3 lots of 3 eyelets!!!  I put 3 in the corner of the image, then I decided I need more so added another 3, then I thought it might not go with the challenge so I added another 3 lol, I reckon I might get kicked off the challenge for being too indecisive.

I haven't used eyelets in ages and I have loads so I decided to add them to my sentiment, I did 5 so they wouldn't be classed in the 3 which would make 4 sets for the challenge!!!!
Ok I reckon I better shut up as reading the above it sounds like I have gone mad lol.  Thanks for visiting, hope you all have a fun crafty week :-) Kezzy xxx

Hi all, with me being away I didn't get to post my DT card for That Craft Place Challenge Blog, our challenge until Saturday 23rd June is a sketch (below), we are also being sponsored by Crafters Companion.  I also would like to enter my card into the challenge over at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog which is Anything Goes.  I decided to do a inky card and then made the card blank with acetate, I have always wanted to do an acetate card but never tried before.  I went for a really bright and funky card, I was hoping it might persuade the sunshine to come back and the rain to go away lol.

I really enjoyed getting inky and it's the first time I have ever done proper masking and it's so much fun, I think I could be addicted.  I used crafters companion stick and spray to keep my masks down :-)  Thank you so much for visiting :-), I shall be back tomorrow with another post, trying to catch up after being away lol. WOYWW 158

Hi all, it's Wednesday, which means it's time for all us crafters to pop on over to Julia's amazing blog and share our desks.  Wow I'm mega late, that's the problem with going away, you can guarantee when you get back there is so much to catch up with, washing, work etc lol.  I have had no time to play since I came back from my crafty retreat away at artsycrafts Sunday night, but I'm just about caught up now.  So I thought I would show you what is on my desk which is a pile of goodies and a pile of unfinished projects from last weekend, I have a few DT bits to do so I can't wait to get them done so watch this space!!! lol lol lol

Day 1 Fabric fest, with all the plastic bags of bits and bobs and some
not started yet fabric pieces, this will finally be a fabric book. Day 2
Sewing room, the box is done, but now I have to put all the bits and
bobs in and the front cover. Day 3 Rusty relic quite a bit done but
still got a few bits to finish off and add so I can staple the mesh on.

Yummy crafty stash, with some gorgeous fabric sheets
on the right side.

Yesterday I also received my woyww ATC all the way from Canada

And the ones I sent which have all been received now I think.  I really would like to do some more swaps, does anyone know of any sites that do swaps or is their anyone who would like to do more woyww swaps?

I didn't get to visit alot of you last week with being away and I had a bit of a bad signal, also Friday and Saturday we crafted from 8.30am until 9.30pm and then Sunday until 6pm and had to travel back.  I do have a bit of an easier time this next week so I will get to do some real blogging as they are loads of you I want to visit to say a bit thanks for supporting me and helping me over this last few weeks.  Hope you all have a fantastic crafty week, Happy woyww, thanks for visiting :-) Kezzy xxx

WOYWW 157

Hi all, it's Wednesday which means it's time for all crafters over the world to show their desks via Julia who host the amazing What's on your workdesk Wednesday.  I'm late and I need to be quick lol, I'm really sorry I hardly got to visit anyone again and it was the 3rd anniversary of woyww, I just can't believe how busy and behind I was after the accounts and have spent most of the time running around doing bits, I shall try harder this week as I really want to see everyones post for last week so I shall have to look at 2 lol, it will be at the end of the week as I'm off to Artsycrafts tomorrow and I'm ultra excited.
My desks are a complete mess, I haven't managed to tidy away between projects, and the last 24 hours of craft has been a nightmare and I have had to cancel some of my DT work this week as on Tuesday morning I was just finishing my Dad's birthday present (shall post on Monday) and I had a very slight accident with a glue gun, managed to put heaps of glue into middle of card so it would look raised off the frame and the I was talking on phone and next thing the whole thing tipped up on my finger and palm, the pain was horrible, it took 15mins under a cold tap before I could peel the gun off and I have been left with 2 nasty burns down one whole finger, it's feeling a little better this evening which is good as I'm it's not useful when your away at a craft retreat!!!!

A well dumped desk!!!!

Yep I am managing to work on this small space!!!

All my ATC's have gone in the post today, I sent 5 altogether, but I really loved doing them, so thought I might have to see if I can send more next week!!! lol.  I hope you all have a fantastic week, I shall be back from Sunday evening showing DT work, and all through next week lots of pictures of artsycrafts and what I have made, plus my Dad's present and my ATC's so next posts should be fun.  Thank you all so much for every comment you make, I really appreciate them all and I shall start catching up over the next few weeks.
Lots of Hugs, thanks for visiting :-) Kezzy xxx
