Funky Flowers Journal Page

Good morning, I know it's been over a week since I blogged.  Mum was rushed into hospital and when she came out Aunt Tensy who I look after was rushed in. Mum is out now doing well and Aunt Tensy at 97 is doing fine and hopefully will be out next week.  So Today I am here with the other side of the Journal page I showed you HERE, the page that had mop up on it.  As you can see from the pictures it started rather messy, it then went through some more messy before ending up complimenting the journal page next to it :-).
I would like to enter the following challenges -
Our Creative Corner Challenge - Topsy Turvy (this page definitely went through several Topsy Turvy moments.  The 4 pics after the first one shows them lol)
Addicted To Stamps and More Challenge - Anything Goes
Rhedd's Creative Spirit Challenge - Anything Goes Mixed Media or Altered

I used the same verse as it seemed appropriate for both pages.

The above is the right hand side page which was a mop up page of the
original left hand side page. (ok that sentence sounds topsy turvy lol)

Today over at That Craft Place Challenge Blog it's mixed media anything goes, so why don't you add your creations, it would be great to see them.  Thank you all for taking the time to visit.
Happy Art :-)

Are exactly the same for the other journal page HERE which are at the bottom of the page.  The only thing extra is the Bombay Ink black and Posca paint pens in several colours.

Good evening, hope your all well.  I am popping on to show you all my ultra messy workspace, I have a few projects on the go and the mess is everywhere.  My Sister thinks it's funny, she is the one who is messy and I am always organised.  But since becoming addicted to mixed media I am mega messy, everything else might be organised but seriously my art room isn't.  When I am in the zone I literally zone out lol.  I usually end up working on a small space as everything else is covered, including the floor lol.  Why am I showing you my workspace?  Today is Wednesday and since I am back to blogging, I really have to join in with WOYWW (what's on your workdesk wednesday) where everyone shows their creative space and I have really missed it :-).

Lots to look at, the girl I am in the middle of is for Lifebook workshop I am doing,
the paints out are for that and another page I am working on.  The mini canvas top
left is for a DT piece I am doing.

Collage papers and tissue waiting to put on another journal page I am about to start.
The rest are mop up pages.

This is the next thing I am working on, the top page is for a card and underneath
is a start of another Lifebook page.

The middle box is full of mop up papers and bits of collage ready to punch out
to send with swaps or add to ATC's.

The sun girl is a lifebook page I have just finished and shall be
blogging about over the next few days.  Underneath that another Lifebook
page that is almost done.  New stamps and rub ons.

A journal for Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday just finished and
a non stick varnish from Decoart is drying on it, (brilliant stuff, takes all the
sticky feeling away and your pages don't stick).
The stamps are for a postcard swap, the colourful pages are more mop
up pages that I worked on to make a bit nicer for collage.

Right that's me done.  Hope you like my creative workspace.  I shall be back with a journal page in a few days.  Thank you so much for taking the time to visit.

Happy Woyww :-)

Dried Paint Funky Flowers Journal Page

Hi ya, I know I missed a whole month of October.  As you know we have had a very difficult with a death in the family and lots of illness.  I have also had a load of tests done in October and I think I just needed a break.  But now I am back and I really do have lots to show, I think I can fill November with everything lol.  I also shall try and catch up with my commenting which will likely take me a few months to complete, that's how far behind I am.  But I can't wait to see everyone's blog and all your wonderful art.
Today I have a journal page for you, now I have to admit, it's certainly different.  I was cleaning up a lot through the summer and into the Autumn and I realised one thing I had been saving but not used yet - dried up Paperartsy Fresco Paint.  Yep it feels so good when it's dried, that throwing it away after using it seemed sacrilege so I kept them.  Hope you enjoy on what I made with those left over pieces, plus lots of pics with some showing how I made the actual glossy flower heads, plus as this is my super large journal I used the page next to it as clean up and made another journal page that sort of links to this one.  I shall make sure I post it over the next few days :-)
I would like to enter the following challenges :-
Simon Says Monday Challenge Blog - So Glossy
Mixed Media World Challenge Blog - Anything Goes
Love To Create Challenge Blog - Anything Creative Mixed Media
Altered Eclectics - Anything Goes Mixed Media/Altered Projects

The clouds used dried Snowflake paint with some glitter dust,
the flowers were mixed flakes of the Fresco oranges and pinks, leaves the green paint and of course
the sun was made up of yellow ones.  They were glued onto book paper
made of circles, then Golden Tar Gel on top to give a real glossy finish (shown
towards the end of the pics).
The page had tissue glued down first with creases to give texture.  I used
Grunge Paste with the large Joggles stencil Sunshine for the sun and
also used the paste for the base of the flowers using a circle stencil.
The background has Fresco paints and stencils plus bubblewrap and
Ellen Vargo stamps.  All colours and products used are at the bottom
of the page.  I then used some of JOFY stamps on scrap deli paper for
clean up for the leaves and flowers at the bottom.
I used a quote stamp from Lin Brown and then Posca pens for doodling around the edge and stem.

The tops of the flowers have left over dried paint from the paint bottles hence the opening.

This is a picture of half way through and as you can see the next clean up page was
extremely painty by then lol.

Here you can see me doing the leaves.

And here they are being set in clear Tar Gel.

Right that's it, can't wait to show you the next page I just completed.  I would like to say a huge thank you to those who have supported me on here, commented when I haven't been able to visit there's and understand how I have been.  I would also like to thank everyone who takes the time to read my blog and hopefully I haven't been gone too long to loose you all.
Happy Art :-)
